Sure, they're not tied to your Steam account, but you're essentially just paying for GTA III and it's spin-offs. Have that in mind.

In other words, I would've bought it at 5 bucks.

I've ran it on 2 laptops and desktop. On win 7 32 and on win 7 64, with nvidia and ati cards as well. Never had a problem, you need to mess around bit to get good resolution and perhaps with Alchemy to get EAX sound working, but other than that has been working just fine. Can't even remember it has crashed or had any other problems.

Just Cause 2 is an amazing deal folks, it looks great, the gameplay is ace, the story is cheesy but fun in it's own way and it's the complete opposite of linear. The island is so massive, you could fly around for hours and not experience all it has to offer.

Steam had them on sale last time too so there's a good chance they'll show up again as a daily. Fucking love King's Bounty.

Also can we not do giant lists please? Especially ones that nobody's doing anything but scrolling past.

Was tempted by HOMM Pack, GTA Pack, and Star Wars, but stayed strong and only pulled the trigger on these, today:


$5.09 SpaceChem
$1.69 Oddworld Pack (just Oddysee an Exoddus)

Total: $6.78

I def. want things like KOTOR and HOMM in my Steam collection, and it's not like $2.50 - $5 is too much, but I just always try to remind myself that this ISN'T the final Steam sale, and things WILL go on sale again. So I'll keep them in mind for Xmas.

What are the odds of fallout 3 going on sale? Is it a game that is often on sale? They had oblivion up yesterday so maybe that increases the odds.

edit: everyone should own JC2 and Spacechem. Odds are you'll find Spacechem too complicated/hardcore past 3-4 hours in, but these hours are well worth the price themselves.

Both games are pretty similar, but River of Time is definitely the better one. It's a prequel also, so you don't need to play the first game. I'd go with just getting that.

Damn, I kinda dislike extremes in terms of good/bad personality in games. I can't be an ultra evil asshole because it just feels wrong, but being a saint is so boring.

I assume you say that because the consequences of your choices and the way people react to you will be much more noticeable?

Yeah, I'll end up replaying it sometime, as long as I like it =P

I picked up SpaceChem but am pretty disappointed in the rest as I already have most of these games. What's up with GTA 1&2 only being available within the Classics pack and not under the Free To Play genre?

Most people had braid. I got it from the Humble Bundle. And I bought Shogun 2 for the TF2 items.

The Broken Sword pack is going for a fairly decent price and includes the remastered version of BS1, which I have yet to play. What are the odds this will pop up on a daily deal?

Also The Last Remnant on daily deal, do it Steam, I want that shit for a fiver or less.

You're better off with HOMM now, since the 6th one comes out soon. You'll get even further behind.

Odds are good.

I have been waiting for a cheap GOTY edition for a year now. One of the few multiplat games I have left to re-buy on PC after giving up on consoles for multiplat games.

Considering GOG had it for $5 bucks its a little more competitive.

Is anyone else having problems with the TF2 achievement?
I unlocked it and it shows up on the achievement list in the game but it doesn't show up as unlocked on Steam so I haven't received a ticket for it. And since the game thinks I have already unlocked it, I can't just re-earn it.

I've to recommend Knights of the Old Republic to anyone who hasn't tried it yet. Currently the game with the best entertainment-to-dollar ratio on Steam.

My hard drive isn't big enough to install all of my Steam games, so I only install the ones I will be playing. Unless they are a summer ticket game, then I install to get ticket then remove it.

I wouldn't worry about it. It'll right itself. Same thing happened to me yesterday with the community ticket..

So far rather dissapointing sale, personally I wish they would drop the camp thing and give me just better sales that dont need games where you can do some crappy achievements on ...

I guess the publishers make the prices but ...

It's kind of hard to discuss particulars without spoiling the experience for you, but yeah, some options are only open to the binary extremes. Being the knight in shining armor was kind of boring and annoying at times but it made being evil something I relished all the much more on the second playthough. Maybe I'm just a dick but I loved putting the screws to everyone in that game.
