Much more then slightly better graphics, and it controls better on PC. Easy choice!

This. I had Blops on the 360, but a month or so ago when Steam put it on sale, I bought it and sold my 360 copy. The controls are smoother and the graphics are better.

The only issue I have is the occasional stutter, and that may be a server issue. I don't know.

Works fine in w7, but it's basically mass effect set in the star wars universe. If you didn't like ME, there's not much to please you there outside of fanservice.

Personally, I think it's a much better game than the original ME because of superior pacing, environments, and character interaction. But at its most basic, it is still very like Bioware's recent output.

Those things you mentioned that are better in kotor were huge problems I had with mass effect..I think I'll bite even if I don't get much enjoyment out of it it's only 2.50

Man none of these sales interest me the slightest =/
I know, same here. I want GTA4 just so I can mess around with it with mods installed, but even that isn't worth $13 to me. I need some $5 games that I actually want!

Bought Empire at War - such a change of pace after being used to Blizzard's style of RTS, and I bought KOTOR because I've had a hankering for it for some reason.

fun fact: my internet was cut off for 3 hours and after talking to customer support it turns out i was late on payments and the letters got caught up in the mail so i couldnt know. They said they were gonna put it back only after 72 hours, but weekends dont count, so id be online again on Thursday.

During-steam-sales.

Drove there, and after extensive talk with a very nice (not) lady i managed to get back online today.

Stylesheet isn't loading. Hit F5. Or Ctrl+R. If that doesn't fix it try clearing your internet cache.

And check if it works in another browser.
The strange thing is, i have this problem both on my PC and imac. :\
I'll try those things though, thanks. :D

EDIT: ah, same on Safari. (usually using FF)

Those internet-less hours were eating your very soul, weren't they?

Just wondering - how do you link a facebook account to your steam profile?
Go to your profile page, scroll, and you should see a facebook thing on the left column.

To remove it, just visit your steam profile again and tell it to unlink it.

The idea of not being online until Thursday, missing on deals and being unable to update the thread was giving me a headache. I mean worst timing, ever.

I can't even play Hamilton's Great Adventure, keeps saying the game is unavailable when I attempt to do the initial set-up.

Steam is slammed atm, it's not unusual
to be loved by anyone
for that to happen.

Heard Hamilton's ticket is bugged, so don't rage if you don't get it.
Well, that's good to know. I've been trying to launch the game for about 3 hours. I keep getting a message saying the game is currently unavailable. I'm guessing its from all the traffic on steam. At least I don't have to worry about having issues with the ticket, but I just want to play the game D:

It's 100% legit, there has been some worries that you could be banned because of registering Steam keys bought in poverty struck countries but no one has been banned for it yet, as far as I know (I assume that's what they're selling). And in some rare instances you don't receive your key at once and have to e-mail their support to get it.

I understand why you don't trust it though, the website doesn't look too professional either...
Your account will never get banned. You may, however, lose the game, and the serial will be banned from Steam. Meaning you'll lose your money.

That only happens with high-profile games, like Call of Duty bullshit (because Activision is a pain in the ass) and Valve Games (because they don't want you to gain the system).

Bought Saira for $2.50. I'd feel too guilty getting it for free, but not guilty enough to buy it at a sharp discount.

Guys, is it possible to somehow sort the game deals by how big of a % the sale is? I want to sift through all like 75%+ games, but don't really know an efficient way to do so.

Sadly the price on Dungeons is still a bit too high for me. I was so excited about the previews for the game but the reviews and word of mouth have been mediocre at best, excoriating at worst.

The price is just right for SpaceChem, though. Note to indie devs: I always bite on intriguing and unique indies at $5 or less during the summer/christmas sales. Always. And yeah, might as well throw in the heroes pack at $5, though that will almost certainly be relegated to the dustbin for god knows how long. I embrace my compulsive Steam hoarding. Embrace it!

Hmm, tempted by the GTAs.

What's the gamepad support like for them? Especially the trilogy...

Depends. I've only tried a 360 controller on GTA3 and Vice City... and the games don't support it well. The game doesn't recognize the right analog and the triggers, so if you plan to use a 360 controller, you'll probably need to use xpadder with it.

Yeah, you can on this site someone linked to a while back.

So is Alien Breed 2 (the free game in the prizes) at all good?

Steam has deleted games from people's accounts because of purchasing from illegitimate resellers.

Yeah, I got Saira and Nightsky for myself, plus a gift copy.

Hamilton's Great Adventure was the other pickup for today, on the fence with SpaceChem atm.

works different here

internet company is the phone company, both bills come together, etc

never had a problem with it, and they give you a notice if you dont pay in case the mail got fucked, but they didnt. Guess that's why they put it back online today, cause it was their fault.

In case anyone else is still worried about win7 (I have 64 bit home premium) and steam version of KOTOR. I will say I am only a couple hours into it, but no slowdown works prefect and not a hint of any problems. I will update if I encounter any issues, but at this point I doubt that will happen.

So far my damage is:
Bit.Trip.BEAT $2.50
Garry's Mod: $2.49

Then from gamersgate:
Civ V: $11

Nothing is really interesting me in these sales, but its only been two days in. Hoping for AC collection at a low price.

Goddamit, even tried restarting my router, but nothing seems to work. :\
Problem is, it's not just the homepage, but the whole site, so i can't buy anything like this.

I don't think G2Play counts as an illegitimate reseller then. On a swedish internet forum, which I frequent fairly often, G2Play is very popular and I haven't seen any complaints regarding removed games or banned accounts.
