Steins;Gate Limited and Download Editon Pre-Order up! Releasing Winter 2013-2014

Only thing kind of making me hold out is the Steam thing. I'd probably rather have a copy of it on that(as I've never played any of this before), and I don't the physical one will interact with Steam in any way, so...

It was released on PS360 & Vita in Japan. I'm not gonna get my hopes up for retail versions on consoles, but at the very least, a PSN digital release would be nice. But I guess it depends on demand and how well the PC version sells.
I'm not talking about the actual game, I'm talking about this publisher.

Oh, my bad. I was thinking since 5pb published the game in Japan, they were handling it in the US as well since they've published stuff like Phantom Breaker: Battlegrounds. But you're right, JAST is mainly PC.

Anyone know how J-List's economy shipping (cheapest) is?

EMS Express - $39.49

I certainly do not want to pay that much.

So is there anything different between this PC release and the later console ports?

As far as I know, the PS3 and PSP/Vita versions just have platform-specific OPs. But so does the PC version in comparison to the original 360 version. (All of them have the 360 OP, though.)

It ships from San Diego, California at about $5 through USPS. I went with UPS ground at $13 though because it comes with delivery insurance.

Well I put in a support ticket to get rid of my JAST order since I can't pay for it right now. ;P I have it re-ordered on J-List already though.

I assume shipping to EU would be killer? It doesn't look like it lets me see payment/ship options without being logged in...

You should be able to check on JAST's site which I should have reasonable shipping out of country, but I'm not too sure about J-List.
Can you preorder anywhere else?

Not right now since it's pretty much the publisher putting it on their own sites for pre-order. RightStuf should probably get it up at some point.

JAST has USPS First Class, 7,50 to Poland. On the other hand, payment by credit card only. :-/
Had to fill in fake address data with "Checkout as Guest" to even see available options, unless I missed it somewhere on the website.

J-List:
Economy Shipping - $16.73
Airmail - $44.07
EMS Express - $54.54

Supports PayPal, Google Checkout, etc.

I clicked on paypal and then clicked back after realizing they charge right away for the option. The order still want through somehow even though I didn't put any of my info. Kinda weird since I've never seen this happen before. E-mailed them just in case because I don't want to be charged right now.

How come they don't do free shipping anymore? I remember School Days HQ had free shipping.

Holy hell, $30-$40 shipping to Canada for a small game? I've had scaled figures from Japan ship for cheaper. -_-

I really don't want to go Economy and have no tracking...

Nice, will buy whenever it releases though, as there's too much games coming up as it is :p

I need a reason to not buy the limited edition, but that badge is making it hard for me...

Hmmmm pretty damn tempted by the limited edition, even if the bonuses are totally pointless. I already own the iOS version, and patched that, but would definitely like a proofread version of this game

From previous experience, awful. Almost two weeks just to ship the order out, despite the items being in stock at the time. Arrived damaged thanks to shitty non-padded envelope packaging. That was about two years ago though, they might be better now.

You're lucky. My $40 shipping venture is because I live in Ontario.

Weird, I live in southern Ontario and the shipping was $7.50 for first class USPS. Are you guys ordering through JAST or Jlist? JAST here.

Edit: Also, holy crap, just noticed I'm not a junior anymore. Yay.

I'm in Edmonton, Alberta. I might go with JAST after all, although I hate paying up-front. ~_~

Edit - I might just wait and see if Rightstuf will offer it. They offer FedEx which is relatively cheap and fast. They also take care of any duties and such up-front so I won't need to pay anything at the door.

jlist. A bit odd to me that EMS costs so much when its shipping from San Diego.

I totally would have used JAST, but I cannot pay right now. (;° ロ°)

Alrighty, EMS it is. $99 lawl.

Why did I get an email from J-list saying its backordered? How can preordered items be backordered or is it some sort of formality?

Yeah... I remember they didn't charge me to ship on JAST's site when I pre-ordered Demonbane so I wonder why that changed.

OT but how is Demonbane?

Eh, I ordered from J-List with the super-expensive EMS shipping. If Rightstuf gets it I can always cancel, but I didn't want to take the risk of this thing selling out. You never know...

How come J-List don't seem to have USPS as a postage option. The other postage options, oh god those costs.
Actually does anyone know why it's so much more expensive to get an item shipped from their California branch, than from Japan.

I remember with Yumina, and Saya, J-List offered USPS at the same cost as Jast for pre-orders.

Anyways, submitted a ticket to J-List about it, so should be able to find out sometime in the near future.
