Are you sure it's not just there usual email updates about your order?

"Awaiting Backordered Items

Thanks for shopping with us! Unfortunately some items are not currently in stock or are preorders. Please check the details of your order below:

Order # | Invoice #

These are on backorder. Your order will be processed upon arrival of these items."

I'm hoping I didn't miss out on getting the Limited Edition or something...

I wish it had a free shipping deal like there was for Saya no Uta... but I guess I'll have to swallow the 7.50$ for shipping from the JastUSA site.

Yeah, that is different from the email I got... were they extremely limited in stock or something? :[

Not that I know of. But maybe I selected something at the checkout that might've triggered this. I got a support ticket in to see whats up.

Got the exact same email. Note they mention its a pre-order so the awaiting backordered item just means they don't actually have it yet but will ship once it releases. At least I hope that's what they mean.

That what I was assuming at first as well but I wanted to be sure. Thinking about popping another order in and see what they say.

Lol I have poor eyesight. Yeah, title of the info in the email. Was reading "Awaiting Confirmation"

I think you're good.

Surprised they're doing worldwide for 7.50$, that's about the cheapest I'll ever see short of free.

I ordered from J-List before it got back-ordered, but I might switch to JAST for the cheaper shipping (J-list is $15). Is JAST back-ordered now too?
edit: wait, so it's not back-ordered? don't confuse me aaah

This is excellent, I dropped the anime around episode 10-11 so that when the game inevitably was translated (in some form) I'd still find it fresh.

oh, just read JAST charges immediately? That's a bummer. Not a huge deal but the release date is uncertain so that's annoying. But I like that I'm supporting them directly.

Sweet, will be getting this! I watched the anime but I forgot almost everything that happens besides the major plot points. Will be nice to experience it again.

Wait, so the game is just a retelling of the anime? I'm only on episode 3, should I stop now and just wait to play the game?

It's kinda the reverse, the anime is a streamlined retelling of the game. To get the full Steins;Gate experience, I'd wait to play the game. The anime is there for you after so you can see everyone animated.

the game existed before the anime and has way more content that the anime glossed over from what i know.

Thank you both! I'm going to stop having watched just two episodes then. I'll resume once I've gotten all the endings in the game :)

I don't think there is much point in watching the anime after reading the VN. If the anime had better art and production values it'd be one thing, but it's really just an inferior way to experience the story.

I watched the anime personally before playing the game and if anything it's better that way.

You get to see the anime, then you get to see a fleshed out universe/multiple endings in the game.

Yeah, but if I watched the full anime, wouldn't that give most of the game away though? Minus a few bonus endings?

Same minute xD Thanks, hmm, now I'm debating continuing the anime. Does the game provide a much deeper experience than the anime? I just don't want the majority of it spoiled by the anime.

Yep. It'd give away the main plotline aside from some of the side routes/endings. I'd wait unless you feel the need to experience the story now. It's really up to you whether or not you care to wait some months.

Thanks :)

Between Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, and K-ON! I have enough to watch to hold me over I think. :)

Waiting to buy it from rightstuf.com so I can get a discount via gotanime and coupons.

I want to watch the anime but should I just hold off on playing the game first?

Very nice to hear!. I'm particularly more excited to be able to enjoy it as an awesome Visual Novel before I go back to the anime :D

The anime adaptation is fantastic, almost perfect, but the VN has alternate endings which are really great, and a few extra touches.

Loved the anime would definitely buy on Steam.

Very nice!

For Rightstuf the total cost for shipping to Canada is around $51 compared to $99 [from Jlist] and FedEx is being used with all of the customs/duties/etc. paid up-front so no surprise charges at the door!

Thanks for the link. Pre-ordered! Now to cancel my J-List order...

What is that fanbook supposed to be?

Probably a little artbook like one of the 360 LE's extras.

IMO: Experiencing the story through the anime is a much better experience than through the VN. I'd say it's much more fun to go for the anime ride not knowing what'll happen, then reading the VN for all the additional details the anime doesn't cover and the alternate endings which are far more impactful after the anime.

/imo.

I believe the opposite and thought the anime adaption was just okay and not a good supplement to the VN.

Awesome, bought the physical edition from RightStuf. Also have Saya no Uta coming after ordering that a few days ago thanks to it being brought up here.

Can you request a change of CC# on a RightStuf order? Might need to use a new card by February and wouldn't want a bork preorder if they go out of stock.

JastUSA via Twitter: "There will be only one print run of the Limited Edition."

It shouldn't be a problem.

I had to do it in the past [since I changed credit cards] so I gave them a call and they updated my information with no issue.

I'll just keep my order on Jast to keep the digital copy too. Not because I'm too lazy to cancel or anything...
