And no Green super power. Cavs in 6.See, a fully healthy Curry would have been 9-12 with 25 points by then, and by being so red hot his mere presence would have evaporated any nearby liquids on the court!
So assuming he's out for 6 weeks, Curry's not gonna be available for the WCF. Spurs have to be the favorites now.

Where does this assumption come from?

Early word is an MCL sprain, which averages 5-6 weeks for recovery. Could be longer if it's really bad. We'll know more after the MRI results obviously.
Here's the play: https://streamable.com/lr4l
Had nothing to do with rest ... just looks like a freak accident because the court was wet
Dat LeBron. Can't believe he will win his third title now.

Cavs are only the favs if somehow both Golden State and San Antonio get knocked out early.

I'd put the Heat ahead of the Cavs right now
Whiteside the future Celtics god
Asterisk championship incoming. Perfect for the Spurs.

We're you alive in 2014?Asterisk championship incoming. Perfect for the Spurs.
NBA gaf. Nothing but trash.
It's a freak accident. He slipped on the exact spot another player went down on 1 second before.
Hope it's nothing serious. Houston sucks but that San Antonio Golden State series won't be the same.

Spurs lost in the first round last year while dealing with a rash of nagging injuries. Not once has it been said that the Warriors chip has an asterisk because they didn't play the best, don't play that game.
Huh? That was constantly talked about all off season.

Yes it has. There was alot of talk that the Cavs would have won last year( since they were up 2-1 at one point) with Irving and Love out. That kind of talk has been driving the Warriors all season.
Why didn't you rest Curry for game 4, you assholes!
I know why they did it, but I was hoping they'd hold him out for another game.Warriors wanted to avoid some odd 2-2 series, best of 3 where they would play Curry. Since anything could happen if it went there. But now it looks odd, when you just needed to rest him out, and move on. Obviously this knee sprain could be entirely unrelated, but man.... Basketball fans everywhere have to be crushed not to see an all-time great team and its revolutionary player not get play its playoff run 100%.
Similar to '11 Rose thus far, maybe worse in the immediate, not as bad in long run.
I stand corrected then I guess, doesn't change my opinion that it's a load of bull lol
I know why they did it, but I was hoping they'd hold him out for another game.
To be totally honest, I'm not sure it would've made any difference. Was basically a freak accident.
I still don't get why they did it?
If it goes 2-2 then I can see pushing it, but 2-1, when the next game will be at home?
Recovery times differ depending on the severity of the injury:
A minor, or grade 1, MCL tear can take from a few days to a week and a half to heal sufficiently for you to return to normal activities, including sports.
A grade 2 tear can take from two to four weeks to heal.
A grade 3 tear usually takes from four to eight weeks to heal, unless it is associated with damage to the ACL, in which case the recovery time may be longer.
Your question is irrelevant as the injury had nothing to do with his ankle. Or are you speculating that the Rocket player than went down hard 1 second before him was also protecting a weak ankle?
The answer is you play your players when they are healthy and don't need rest. Curry was healthy and well rested.
Yeah, I don't see why they should have rested him. This had nothing to do with fatigue or his ankle. Was just shitty luck.
They weren't going after any records when he was initially injured, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.People get more injuries after spraining ankles. Your overall balance and stability decreases
I'm not saying this was directly related, but if he didn't sprain his ankle earlier, he might have been able to handle this better.
I mean as recent as Friday it was still reported by the local reporter that Curry directly said his change of direction and explosion was still rough after their last major practice. That he thought he would play but it was at the point he just needed to convince staff to let him
Something tells me that if this was 3-0, Curry still rests.
Biggest asterisk of a championship since 2012. Spurs got eliminated by the Clippers in the first round due a bunch of injuries and then the Cavs were missing 2/3 of their big three.Spurs lost in the first round last year while dealing with a rash of nagging injuries. Yeah, I thought it was clear that GS could easily have beaten Houston in game 3 if they hadn't been so sloppy. Even if Curry said he was good to go, I'd still have held him out one more game.

Insulting and disrespectful? That sounds like an oddly personalized way to take a sports argument of this kind. They would been 100% wrong to hold him out. He was healthy and rested. What kind of player/team doesn't play under those circumstances? He looked a little rusty as it was...holding him out longer might only hurt his performance in subsequent games.
Honestly I find this line of conversation slightly insulting and disrespectful towards Curry and the Warriors as the injury had absolutely nothing to do with his ankles.

Umm, it's easy to make an argument that he shouldn't have played that is neither selfish or frivolous. How about unnecessary? Statistically so? You can agree or not, but turning the contrary argument into some kind of weird personal insult seems really odd.The problem is that it isn't a sports argument as there is no argument to make against playing a healthy and well-rested player. That is the normal order.
To argue otherwise is some weird post-hoc second guessing fallacy that assumes that the Warriors and Curry were being either selfish or frivolous. Neither is the case.
