Is it bad that I have anxiety hoping for an emerald gem to show up just because its my birthstone? Hell my brother is an amethyst and my sisters a ruby they're both lucky lol
I love how Skinny Jasper barely has over 30 seconds of screen time and she's already gaining lots of popularity.
There's like zero way an Emerald is not going to show up at some point. I think they purposely left out a few popular gems to have characters be introduced eventually.
I mean, it's obvious at this point someone in the Stevencrew is a Sonic fan as that Sanic figurine has made multiple cameos through the series, I can't imagine they'd let the series go on without an Emerald eventually at the very least.
You mean the Chaos Emeralds?
You know, the gems make a lot of soldiers and superweapons...an excessive amount for simple reserves, and we don't really hear about them encountering other species besides humans. On top of that they have no other use for planet besides making more gems to aid in the war effort since they don't require anything to live. Do you ever wonder if they've been combating another equally powerful species? Like a species made of precious stones and run by the Platinum Authority?
There is the possibility that at some point, the gems all fought each other before forming the Diamond Authority.
Also possible: White Diamond may currently be at war with Blue and Yellow. The end of the rebellion may have broken the Authority.
We STILL know so very little of her, and she would make for a better final antagonist than something completely new.
Give Tumblr a speaking background character and they'll go wild with the possibilities.
Especially if they happen to be gems (like Yellow Pearl, the Ruby Squad, and Blue Pearl).
I don't usually see minor/secondary human characters get that much love. haha
Which is honestly very understandable.
(Btw you might want to add a [/spoiler] to my post that you quoted)

I mean why make so many if you aren't expending them somewhere? Gems live forever pretty much.
I mean, as just a general statement of purpose, we all already deduced that, so you were not spoiled.
I was wondering why it didn't seem to be discussed, so I searched andso if they haven't followed the other threads closely or it has been worded completely differently I think it's fair to think of it as a spoiler.zeemumu is the only one who ever posted the word terraforms in this thread
Also what would gems needterraforming for anyway?
I'm not sure if this has been said already... But, ehh... I've noticed the Diamonds use the intersection colors of RGB.

I wonder if there's a specific reason for this...

Maybe white diamond was too powerful so Rose killed pink to prevent white from being formed again?Maybe White Diamond was a fusion
Nah...that doesn't make sense

On the leaked episodes...
Where the hell did indignant Steven come from? Maybe it has just been too big of a break between episodes and I've forgotten stuff, but it felt oddly out of character for him not to trust that if the gems said that something was a bad idea (particularly Garnet), that it probably was. It was even weirder that Greg would happily accompany Steven to a place he was told that the gems had refused to take him. Yeah...I didn't really like the contrived way they got those two characters where they needed to be for all of this to kick off, tbh.
The complaints end there, though! Seeing Blue and Yellow Diamond was awesome. I enjoyed the Amethysts, and really love how much their approval would mean for our Amethyst. Plus Greg was hilarious the entire time.
He's hurt that the Gems didn't tell him Rose shattered PD. I mean, it's akin to finding out your mom was secretly a murderer except it's worse because he IS Rose. Sois something he can't deal with.the Gems keeping more secrets

That would go against the era 2 diamond authority logo.Blue's a primary in RGB whereas pink, yellow and cyan are the secondary / intersectional colors, though.
I just recently went through Loreweaver's liveblogs of SU and at one point he theorized that the Temple Fusion was the leader of the Gems (I think it was prior to Giant Woman), and ever since I've had this idea that White Diamond was basically the Mew for Gem biology in that she was a common ancestor or "missing link", essentially. Granted, that still leaves a lot of holes in the hierarchy, but I almost can't help but feel like they're building up to a reveal that White Diamond was dead all along, or something.
So according to Cartoon Network, they planned to upload the Steven Bomb early all along: http://www.polygon.com/tv/2017/1/5/14177940/steven-universe-leaks-2017
...But they didn't properly explain why they then removed every episode but Steven's Dream. Which then forces people who wanted to watch the episodes early to either hope they have a cable provider that still has them On Demand or download/view them illegally.
New Episode Question...
Why is Agate's gem the same as Lapis?

Pink was removed from the logo after her death, why keep White around if she's also dead?
Looking at that era 2 logo... there's 100% a Black Diamond that's a fusion of White, Yellow and Blue, right?
One that's defeated when Steven/Stevonnie/massive-fusion-with-Steven-involved manages to talk down one or more of the Diamonds into breaking the fusion and stopping the battle. That's the final boss.

Why is Agate's gem the same as Lapis?
Ehhhh, it's similar, but I guess there's only so many gem shapes and colors they can do. The Ruby, Sapphire, and Amethyst gems all look pretty similar from afar apart from their colors.
It's not, though? It has facets, while Lapis does not.
It isn't? Holly's has sides and Lapis' doesnt
Agate's gem has more cuts? compared to Lapis' gem which his more rounded.
Given the shit has gone through which includes the attempts on his life, the secrecy of the people he deems family, him not being able to save people as he tries to do, trying to live up to his mother's legacy, then realizing her legacy might not be as great as he thought at first, etc. Then to add him seeing the carriage and the gems continue to be wishy washy i could see why he would finally explode due to being tired of that shit, hell even when Garnet was trying to warn him she didn't want to say anything (she even mentioned that "you can't meet her" which i guess she saw due to future vision)
But this rebellious attitude it almost cost him another person he cares about so hopefully it calms him but also hopefully the Gems will be more open to him.
As for Greg i think it just a case of him trusting and loving his son so he will help him out. Plus it was just to look at a thing instead of actively placing himself in danger like say a fight.
Wait I just saw Steven's Dream on the Comcast xfinity app (TV). Are they releasing them sooner ?
An interesting thought as to why all thebubbled Rose Quartz Gems are in the zoo: They fulfilled the roles the current amethyst--only adopted to the role by Blue after the war--guards perform.
They are designed to be big beefy soldiers, yet their power sets are not at all martially inclined. Aside for their size--useful to guard and handle unruly humans--they seem to be otherwise designed to provide for, protect and control organic life. In short, they are the perfect zookeepers.
Would probably explain Rose's fascination with humans and life. And her general lack of respect for them.
Also would explain why other gems seem so clueless about Rose's powers: they were never common to anywhere else but the Zoo.
