It's only disorientating if there's lag, and there should only be lag if your connection is complete shit or your accepting bad connections.

This beta isn't allowing you to view pings and pick your matches.
I hope they will let you do that in the final game. Or maybe they think this netcode is now good enough to match you up with whomever is available. Devs love to not give you a choice in matchmaking...

There's no chance it won't be in the final game.

It's been in every online Capcom fighting game ever and it's not difficult to include.

What? Yes it is in 3SO.

I guess I didn't buy that game when it released on the XBLA, so maybe it didn't always have it, but you definitely do get a green/yellow/red ping before you accept the match.

Right, you could go back and search again, but that was it. That's why the infamous "ufcgym" was such a problem.

If you took the NPCs out of the Kanzuki stage, it would be my favorite stage in fighting game history.

The willow trees, the mountains, the moon. Such a great backdrop.

Preferring huge delay over teleportation is a matter of preference I guess, but either way, no one should play a fighting game with that much lag.

When people say they want roll back netcode, they're talking about the optimal experience, with 2 or 3 frames worth of lag, you will feel the difference with a delay based netcode, while with rollbacks it will play like offline and roll backs will just looks like teared frames.

Man I fought a Ryu who really knew how to use his parry. That was so cool to watch! I really really need to practice that more.
 
Ken is unpunishable as mika or something. He grabbed me out of a wake ex shooting peach, even though my animation started. Then he did that jumping whirlwind move into shoryuken even though I blocked the whirlwind move and tried to grab him

Ex shooting peach seems to have no throw invincibility, actually, its kind of funny that Mika is free to throws on wakeup as a grappler, her command throws can even be beaten out on wakeup.

Unless Laura or another new character sways me their way, I'm aboard team Mika, which I did not expect all. Really dig her play style, moves, and how a few good choices = a lot of damage and stun.

As for the other new characters, new ken is fun, not really me but I like how he is. Necalli has some good stuff, hits like a truck, just feels off to me, but I am playing on pad instead of a stick at the moment. Lots of Karin's right now, I figure once people start really learning her normal and specials(or get the frame data) she wont be as threatening. Vega is really good, and his new stuff/changes are great. I feel Rashid is being slept on right now, granted its only the beta, but he feels pretty strong, lot of options as well.

I'm taking notes on Mika, moves, combos, setups, other good/fun/gimmicky things as well. I'll post it when I'm done, or in chunks here and there.
 
Finally got to play, Cammy and Chun feel so weird coming from SF4 lol
Karin is tearing me apart, I can't do this bloody JF consistently mid combos, not sure if I'll make this work.

If Laura doesn't click with me I'll probably stick with Mika. Holy moly is she fun
 
Threw this together quick to show f.hk still has uses after the Cammy nerf, easy to link both s.lk and cr.mp and how arrow and spike cancel to CA. Cammy is looking like a great character.

Slick video, Ibuki. I noticed this too when trying her out this morning. I'm wondering what the start up frames for the Knee Bullet are saying. It has big potential, imo. Looking like one of the funnest iterations of Cammy so far.
 
What's Bison's most damaging combo with VTrigger?
I haven't tested new stuff now that you can V-Cancel Knee Press, but it was j.HK, s.HK, c.MP, Knee Press, VEX PBlast, VEX PInferno, VEX Stomp. You can check my YT channel in my profile if you want a Bison combo compilation from Beta 1.

Yeah I am with you on that, she is great fun, I think only Laura will be able to drag me away from her :)

hey gbraga, gg man. The first round happened that way because my wife connected a fucking ipod in the pc and a bunch of windows opened. Good fight anyway. The CA at the end was clutch as fuck.

The timing on your block stun is just a bit off. Record Rashid's spin in training mode and figure out the timing and you'll be able to jab him out of it.

Same goes for Vega's roll btw. I'm getting away with WAY too much.

st.mp - cr.hk doesn't work
Medium Tatsu doesn't hit crouching opponents anymore
Both of his Critical Art's don't hard knockdown anymore

Nerfs from Denjin Mode include reduced stun from charged hadoken, every hadoken drains more meter and general damage nerfs across the board.
Parry builds less meter too.

Damn was trying half this stuff in training and thought I was just messing up on execution. Was just wasting my time it seems.

THIS... is what happens when a ton of people play a character. Capcom colllects all that data and begins the beheading ceremony. The more a character is played, the more data, the more nerfs.

Please stop playing Mika people. And dont play ken too. They will nerf ken again me thinks.

Maybe this has been pointed out already, but there's a pretty silly glitch on the character select screen with R. Mika and Chun Li where 1P will have no bounciness but 2P will get all the bounciness in the entire world. Well, darn, and here I thought I had extraordinary bouncy boob observation skills. Does sound crazy if the bug has been there for that long without being fixed though. Maybe Capcom sees it as an easter egg at this rate.
