Huh, for some reason I can't find matches anymore. Stuck in training mode for now, I guess.

Edit: And I just realized my puppet character instincts were messing me up with R. Mika again. I didn't realize that when you use her V-Trigger (and Nadeshiko is delayed), you can still use her Critical Art or an EX command grab that uses Nadeshiko.

What's the word on the Rashid/Ken match up? I've been having no problem against the rest of the roster but those damn flowcharts are giving me some real trouble. I seem to get beat out on everything.

Loving Rashid though, and I've barely scratched the surface. Played against one today that shut me down more thoroughly then I thought possible. Very cool character.

Oh my god, that does sound incredible. Should have that unlocked soon.

Is the beta down right now?

Was playing just 3 minutes ago so I don't think so.

The stage that is selected in online matches is probably tied to whatever your favorite stage is on your fighter profile.
Forgotten Waterfall is the default which is why its so common.

Wish it would pick my favorite stage once in a while then. Have yet to see Kanzuki in a match

Ok I'm scared. I've won like 8 matches straight (just checked, it's 9 so far), someone has to break my streak right? Also, those 2000 FM for the Kanzuki State stage man... it's gonna take some time to get it.

I'm done with Ken, he's even worse than his Street Fighter 4 counterpart and Necalli has no good normal. And fuck Vega.

I'm sticking to R.Mika

How do you make Mika throw her opponent into the "wall" of the screen and have the opponent bounce back off it, allowing her to followup with a heavy kick? Saw some stream of players doing it earlier. Whenever I do it, the opponent just stumbles to the edge of the screen and stumbles over

Forward or back MP into Forward or back MP. Opponent has to run into the corner for the wall bounce.

That's it. I give up. Deleted the beta client, and on Amazon about to cancel my preorder, even though I'm getting it at a discount price since the raised the price after I ordered. But FUCK it. Can't win a single game no matter what character I play, how many combos I learn, how patient I am, how little risks I take. No point in getting this if no matter how long I practice I won't get a single win.

I am ass at street fighter.

You won't get good in a couple hours. It'll take more then that. I would say keep pushing but lol.

You say, after having at most 2 days of practice.

Did you know you can set the training dummy to be CPU controlled? If you're completely new at the game, fighting the CPU does help you practice things even though the psychological aspect is absent.

Past 2 days, plus the entirety of the first beta, PLUS about a week and a half of USF4 in between (excluding the 2 weeks straight I spent in training).

I haven't won a single match this beta. The amount I won in the first one is probably not even double digits. I have less than 5 rounds won this time around. My friend, who I convinced to preorder, hasn't touched a fighting game before I insisted he get into the beta. And he could kick my ass in SF4 with way less practice.

God damnit.

I'm redownloading this fucking beta.

You're playing against people that've played Street Fighter for years, some for decades. Even though it's a new game with new mechanics, the general idea of how to win at fighting games is universal.

You gotta keep pushing.

"do NOT put that in their comment section or they will cut you down..."

I wouldn't comment on that site regardless.

Yeah, I'm having some Ken issues but at least I know how to block.

Ken is a monster in this game so far! Easy to confirm combos that do tons of damage. Extermly agile as well and has quite a few surprises as far as mixups go. From what I have seen, he seems to be an incredibly well rounded character.
Then again this is the impression I got after having played beta round 2 for like 10 hours total.
