Don't play like SF4 step kick is not safe, jabs and lk are not combo starters.

--Max range step kick us useful, don't abuse and use on wakeup sometimes.

C.mp links with b.mp and u can target combo after that into big damage, its his bnb

Standing MK target combo is a great whiff punish and max range combo starter.

MP Srk on wakeup and for AA

Use run as a combo extender after landing crush counters or a clean st.HP

Use lights to combo into light tatsu, u can juggle for good damage.

Ken needs to be in close, will lose to most characters pokes, get inside if sweep range and use mp b.mp lights low forward for pokes and frame traps. Make sure u space low forward fb right, can be punished easily.

Have fun, Ken can end a round with 2-3 combos, and can v-trigger into his super in like 10 different ways. He's a damage monster, but not noob friendly.

Gonna keep the bolded in mind. I always forget he has that target combo and it'd definitely come in handy as a punish.

The game doesn't detect my USB controller. Would xpadder do the trick or is there a reason to /use a different button-mapping program?

EDIT: Also, is it feasible to stay in training mode indefinitely? Like start it up and then yank the ethernet cord?

still disappointed how bad the background character looks. Almost no improvement from sf4

The backgrounds in general are pretty terrible to be honest.

It's PC. Anything is possible. Give it a day or two.

Stupid muscle memory. I keep wanting to DP and throw low tiger shots.

If anyone else playing on PC had a problem where the screen would always stay minimized, I fixed it by setting the game to launch windowed in the steam launch options.

Yeah honestly, Guilty Gear characters and backgrounds look like a piece of art so i'm not sure why the characters (and shadows on ps4) in SF V are so bad.

Also I got a question, where is Nash from in that ranking exactly ?

No they didn't. I just did it.

I thought you were referring to 2 lights. The pushback doesn't let it work out. I don't see the point in using 1 standing light when you could just use cr. MP for more damage and more time to confirm so I just assumed you mean 2 lights.
 
Terrible with controller. Which is weird cause I grew up playing this on consoles for most street fighters. Bought a battop for te2 stick I preordered for December through Amazon. Chun li edition with new light blue sanwa buttons and light blue battop ,can't wait.
 
Man adjusting to motion Vega is hell. So many habits to tame, and that shit doesn't feel as good as a charge Vega.... q_q Why couldn't Dimps be good at designing charge partitioning? Taking it out is not a solution.... but still ugh, I'll adjust.

Because you can turn a poke into a good combo .

Good luck landing that cr MP on a defensive guy.

Rashid's F + medium punch, is there anything that can connect off that? I realize you can go into dp or dk or any other moves, but I'm wondering if it can combo without dropping anything.

I like Rashid, he's a very interesting character and his V skill is interesting.

I'm playing on PC. Do you guys know how my opponents online are affected if my framerate goes below 60fps? As in, will there be slowdown/lag for them, or am I the only one affected?

My brother is supposed to come over to play the beta in an hour or so, but I thought I heard that the beta shuts down every day around that time. Is that true, or was I misinformed? Just don't want him to come over for nothing.

tried searching for my own replays but it didn't find anything

If you want your own replays, go to your battle card or whatever its called and look for your battle log. If you want to look for top replays, check out the player rankings and check out their fighter profiles. And if you want to find specific replays for friends, I have no idea.

dunno what the deal with the nash icon is, when I looked at the ranking boards earlier today everyone had that nash icon and he obviously wasn't in this phase.

I read that final game would let you control camera on replay, to make "movies".

Did I dream that ? I can't find the article.
 
He looks really bad.

The human face has set proportions. Some could argue that cartoony characters don't need to respect them, and I can agree with that with some characters. We do know Vega's drawn artworks do fit said proportions, so the fact that the 3D model doesn't respect them is amateurish and makes him look off.

I'm a professional illustrator and I can't find anything egregiously wrong with Vega's facial proportions. If anything SFV has had an exemplary attention to anatomical detail, despite the artistic license.

The character in your avatar definitely has a fucked-up face, though.
