EX killing on chip would kind of ruin the whole point of no kill on chip honestly. You gain meter so fast in this game, why even have a no chip kill at that point?

I'm surprised at how fun most of the cast is as this point. I actually want to spend time playing each of them.

There are certain characters I hate fighting against though, namely Vega, Rashid, and Karin. Something about fighting Rashid especially feels random.

Tried the PC beta. Looks noticeably better on higher detail settings and I see some extra effects not on PS4. Hate the motion blur. For some reason, the game also chugs for me on the waterfall stage. No problem on the other levels.

I was just messaging a guy who had the same problem as me! Turns out, I just had to go LAN for the update to work. WiFi was too finicky (and I really should be playing on wired anyway, right?).

I don't think any character is one dimensional at all. Karin with her rekkas and mixup game, Mika with her asisst and throw buffing strats, Nec and his mode change that switches up the properties of his moves, and Ken's run is a combo extender.

Are you just looking for more stance type characters?

There are many ways this can be done.

It's easy to open someone up. If they block, you throw. If they are baiting you with normals, go in with something safe that beats those normals. There are many, many ways to take care of a blocking turtler on the verge of death. People just need to be offensive while remembering to be defensive.

As other people have stated, meter gain isn't difficult in this title. Nerfing whole movesets just to kill on block is like the opposite of what Capcom (and most players, I think), want - less nerfs.

KO'd on block work in other games because they have different systems, man. It's really unfair to compare this and other fighters in the regard of what works and what doesn't.

Lastly, you should probably chill out and not be so defensive. No need to die from a high sodium count before SFV hits!

The point is that Capcom doesn't want you to chip in this game except for CA.

Not as much, mostly the Followups off her various moves. You could probably mash EX moves and such out of some of what's shown there, but a lot of the rest is probably more meaty, and so many moves lack invincibility / ground-friendly hitboxes now.

Inescapable chip setups in SF4 are almost certainly what led to the change in SF5, combined with the lower amount of defensive options on wakeup. (the backdash nerf) They clearly want to move the game away from set play.

If your opponent is on the verge of death and sitting in the corner and, for whatever reason, you don't want to fight them just spam special moves until your bar gets full and THEN chip them out with your super.

Ok, now I'm really hating using a pad with Karin. My combos don't come out as often as I'd like to and I end up getting hit and cornered. This other Karin cornered me and kept doing cr.LK xx QCB+K and I wanted to EX DP out of it but it just wouldn't come out, so I'd get stuck to stun and death.

By the way, on average blocked supers in this game do 60 damage.

That's as much as a medium punch.

Even one hit blocked supers like Necalli and Rashid.

That's A LOT of damage.

Am not at home to check, but it's a Sager NP7338 laptop. I think it has an Intel Core i7-4810MQ CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M GPU. I'm gonna try messing with the settings some more when I get the chance.

That also reminds me...need to try this on the lowest settings and see if it's playable on my tablet too.

Plug it in, make sure it's recognized as a controller. Then use a program like joy2key or xpadder to map the keyboards controls onto the pad.

The default I think is either the direction keys or WASD for movement, and then GHJK for Punches (Light, Medium, Heavy and x3), and BNM, for kicks. Enter is Start. Not sure what Select is.

I gave been using necalli. Seems like i get out of it alot and the hitbox is not that big. Thr angle is specific.
