mika's hk (chargeable dropkick) got beaten by what seems like vega cpu's lk, maybe it's not as good as we thought?

It goes over lows (Mika's at least) so I would think it would work great against people like Ryu and Chun trying to use cr.mk or people trying to land a sweep.

I think mixing it up with her mk would be ideal. If you hold f+mk she has a lot of forward movement.

edit: Mika's cr.mk actually makes her head low profile the drop kick. cr.mk is not a low but this could mean some pretty interesting things mirror matchup wise.

Did she charge up her command grab? It seriously does like 260-280 damage if you just tap it, even more if she holds it slightly longer. She hits pretty hard.

no charge ever grab literally gave a bar. I'm playing with the cpu since i can't get any matches at all.

Random question but has anyone here used these and later got a new stick?

I got this one in 2009 or so and had to replace the buttons with Sanwas since the default ones were so shit and broke after a few weeks. I never replaced the actual joystick, though. Are these known to be less accurate or something? Sometimes I feel like things just don't register the way they should but I can't compare it to anything else so I don't know if it's me fucking up the input or if it's just the stick that's shitty.

I have two of those for 360, one modded with Sanwa buttons and an octo-gate, and another stock.

I have a HRAP Pro.V now for PS4. I can't really tell the difference other than size of the case. I'm not the best SF player but I'm also not a dilbert either so I can string together some stuff. I've only got a chance tonight to play SFV with the HRAP stick and seemed to be doing alright putting some combos together.

Any one have an extra ps4 code for this? :p

Pre-order at Amazon, they'll send you a code within minutes. Then cancel your order.

I'm confused, wasn't this meant to start tomorrow? Huh?

Somehow they let people early in but it's not official.
This happened a lot before.
As you can read, people are only able to play Mika and Vega.
I even saw Necalli on the 2nd player screen but you can't choose and see him after you select the first character.

This game IMO seems to have gone back to the basics of SF. Really liking it. Going to be hard for me to turn on SF4 once this beta trial is over.

Mika is a lot better than her SFA3 version, but I dunno how she's gonna deal with denjin Ryu. Vega feels like he'll be a different kind of annoying than we're used to. His claw range feels a little too short imo, but that full screen V-Trigger more than makes up for it. That's gonna be annoying, and scary in close matches.

I see, so some people are lucky. Oh well, I'm waiting for PC anyway!

Can you do this on Steam for the PC Beta?

I don't know how Steam processes pre-order refunds, but I don't see why not. You may be able to pre-order the PC version on Amazon though and cancel there after you get a code.

On to the game:

I almost appreciated the stealth beta access tonight because I could fuck around with each character and go over their moves and see what was effective. Then set the training dummy to "CPU" and play some matches. Streamed for over an hour and had some viewers which was cool. Seems like you could set it to "Player" as well and do some 2 Player action on the same console.

I did like an EX move with Mika where I did the special back-circle P throw where she whirls you around by the legs only it was finished by your tag partnet instead. I couldn't pull it off again though, any ideas?

Had a 30min session against CPU only, no online opponents. R.Mika is solid, I loved seeing the stunner the first time! Vega was cool, but I didn't like the stance changes because it seemed like I barely needed to switch from the claws.

Excited to play tomorrow!
