Really glad they're doing a beta. They really need to get the netcode right this time around. Hope the beta includes PS4 and PC cross-play as well.

The game now really looks similar to SF4 and thanks to these changes and in general it looks straight out worse than the reveal trailer.

I'm not quite getting the SF4 comparisons, but my first thought was "downgrade to keep performance up" and if definitely doesn't look less cell shaded now haha
 
The IQ in SFV is ridiculous, so smooth, not a jaggie in site. Charlie looks awesome with his one handed booms and aerial axekicks. Who's that at the end EVIL BISON?

This is good! If the good of KI's recent direction rubs off on Street Fighter (as much as SF obviously rubbed off on KI), then that just means better fighters, promotion, trailers, and creativity for everyone!

I didn't look at him and think "Zombie" actually, this just seems like a more crappy version of Bison making a male killer doll. I'm fine with that.

Ryu getting knocked into the train reminds me of Real Bout FF series. It's funny it takes so long for 3D Graphic fighters to start getting the personality that 2D ones had nearly 2 decades ago. But I'm quite happy to see it happening!

The beta access sounds great; is this Capcom's approach to a F2P-ish model? It'd be great if the Beta is something that can be built upon and updated while the wait for the full release happens. Enjoy PS4 peeps!

What if Charlie here actually replaces the expected Guile spot in this SF? That'd be quite interesting to see. He could still get in, but what if he's not in the first round of characters? I'd actually welcome the shake-up... SF is much too stagnant and safe with it's choices.

It's literally the opposite of what you just said.

It's a lot more colorful, so in that sense it's definitely closer to SF4 than it was.

It's art design is still nothing like SF4.

My feeling is that, if Charlie were a replacement for Guile, he wouldn't be this dissimilar.

There's no way they don't have an arcade version. Capcom still makes too much bank off that.

Perhaps. There's that little issue of it going to PC preventing it from having a giant impact on PS4 sales.

That was likely Capcom's caveat to get exclusivity on consoles. Between PC and Xbox One, Sony will gladly allow a PC version.
 
Awesome trailer. Looking forward to the beta. Not looking forward to having to buy a new stick, though.

The colours look a little too saturated for me, we've gone back to Chun Li's skin texture apperaring orange. Apart from that horrible green smog which I hope is a stage variation, everything else looks considerably better.
 
Not sure about his new design but he looks fun. Really glad to see Bison in as well even though it was expected.

Disappointed at the downgrade though, the background looked way better in the reveal footage.

So you confirm me i've read bullshit because the change in saturation gives hard contrast to the character from the background thus making the image the actual opposite of "softer", and the unreal and vibrant colors actually give more of a cel shaded effect than before.

This is old news for Capcom. There's really nothing inspired by KI here. Even promotion-wise, their trailers teased additional characters near the end.

Because Fulgore created multiple fireballs and teleport mixups.
 
Urien might not be in, but maybe they are giving Aegis reflector to someone? I want that shit in 3D. One can dream :(
 
Majority of sales will come from PS4. Not to mention when the marketing starts.

I think he meant "sales of PS4s", not "sales of the PS4 version".

Like if you really like Souls and have a gaming-quality PC you have to buy a PS4. If you really like Street Fighter in the same situation you can buy the PC version.
