Street Fighter V might not be at EVO Japan due to EVO Japan, won't be at SAI.

Wasn't SBO always a console only tournament when it was around? I recall them adding MVC3 to the lineup with no issues.

SBO was mainly arcade.

Fine

IT'S TVC TIME

Is that better?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Contrary to popular belief, Capcom Co. Ltd. doesn't own the Street Fighter IP, but rather Capcom USA. It's the reason why they added the Capcom USA listing to Smash 4's character copyrights when Ryu joined the roster via DLC.
They also own the rights to Final Fight.

I'm sure we'll never know if this truly complicates matters between the two branches, but if it does, it's incredibly ironic how short-sighted Capcom Japan was at the time of the transfer.

EDIT: Rubbing my palms in earnest awaiting the great Capcom beat 'em up renaissance.

I think giving other games centre stage might be cool though, Xrd and Tekken 7 are both brilliant games, and it's sad that SFV is still seen as the go to fighting game (especially how weak V is compared to IV), especially now that Tekken and GG are more accessible than ever.

Why is EVO Japan arcade machine only? What's the point?

Also, does Smash Bros have an arcade machine version in Japan?
