Never beat a Bison with any character. Never beat Nicalli with any character.

No idea what to do against them at all. Bison seems completely ridiculous in particular. Are those hard match ups in general or just me?

Bison is easy for Gief I think.

Abuse his lack of good AA's. Throw his Inferno it's mad unsafe. Jab after scissors or just parry the scissors. Anti-air Jab his head stomp. space out his st. mk but watch out for his teleport dash.

With Necalli, outfootsie the crap out of him and stay away. AA his jump ins and don't let him start stomp pressure. Punish every Dash Slash attack. Don't get counterhit with cr. hp in neutral. You will probably still get rekt by his mixups some of the time

Who are you playing as in either match up? The trick to beating them is knowing where to apply jab pressure to stop their pressure. Throwing out jabs before a stomp during a block string is a great way to mess up the necalli's timing. Bison has VERY few fantastic options on wake up, so getting a hard knock down on him and knowing how to open him up on wake up will do wonders for you.
 
Does anyone know how many titles characters have?

So far with R. Mika the titles I have are:

Girly Girl
Full Throttle Girl
The Spirit of Wrestling
Zangief Fan Club President
 
So if I friend people's CFN IDs, I can play with those friends at will even if they're on PC?

Is this the first game to do this? I know Rocket League has struggled to implement something like this.

If I managed to hit that combo, it'd be the longest combo I've ever done in a SF game.

Seems possible for me, but it's an outside chance.

Had to jet out. Wife called, and work phone call to make.

The slight bit of lag is frustrating at times. Throws are teched, or on my screen I'll SEE your R.mike already doing ex Bon bon bon, and yet I throw her.

Chun Li was the worst with the lag, because when you do the over head or her cross up it would remove all the animation frames of the motion and all I saw was the end result.

Unsure what it looked like on your screen. Maybe the game was tossing most of the rollback my way to compensate with? It was losing inputs too. Ex reversals on wake up just not being there, etc.

Really good R.Mika though. Unsure if she's your main or Chun is, but the Mika is goat.
 
Hello. Any good strats for Birdie? I can footsie okay and punish people for doing stupid shit, but other than crush counter, dash, command grab, I don't have much.

EDIT: I've also noticed that--especially against Ryu and Ken--sometimes the lag will pick up significantly if I'm winning. Wtf is up with that?

You mean having a coordinated friend system across multiple platforms? I think it might be. I think Portal 2 and a few other games on PS3 had cross-play with PC, but I dunno how they handled the User ID system in those other game's cases.

I tell you what - for now, maybe leave out the sMP after the jHP. Instead go straight into sHP and see how easy you can V-trigger off of that and into the rest of the combo.
 
Literally the only title I have is for completing Cammy's Survival Mode for Easy. I got a cool purple color for her Battle Costume. I won't even bother with completing Survival Mode: Normal for more colors for Cammy's Battle Costume even though I REALLY want more colors for it because its so hot on Cammy!!!

And my Street Fighter waifu is 5'4? I'm roughly 5'8 so Cammy can lay her head on my chest...? *drools*

Bison defiantly feels the most threatening.

I think its a mix of his new old bison design and the fact in the story mode he dominates everyone that comes his way in the story.

That and Norio Wakamoto is great again as Bison.

Question on the DLC characters and Fight Money (something in the OT piqued my curiosity).

The OT implied DLC characters can be bought with real-world money or in-game currency? Can a player make enough Fight Money (guessing that's in-game currency?) to purchase DLC characters? I guess what I'm asking is if I can avoid paying $ for the DLC characters by racking up in-game cash.

This would definitely influence my decision to buy sooner rather than later so that I can start earning dat money.

Well for what it is worth, based off of my matches with Seph, he is the better player. I think even without the lag in our matches he would've won the majority.

However, the games I felt I most convincingly beat him and could keep doing so were with my Bison.

So if a shittier player can garner wins against a better player simply by picking Lord Bipson, then yes he's hella strong in this game.

I have been on the receiving end of Bison with other characters, and he does in fact shit hard even if you know all of what he can do. Him and Necalli both are just these walls where if you screw up once, then they are eating so much of your health it's unreal.

Bad Voice direction which is strange since it's the same VA from SF4.

Bison, Rashid, Birdie, Karin and R Mike all excellent English VO's but Ibuki's lost whatever tone she had in 4 whatsoever. It's terrible. And I loved her Voice in SF4.

DF, D, DF is the shortcut. DF, DF does not work, people who say that are just messing up the input and hitting a down in between the DF attempts..

We will agree on all of that... Except for Rashid. No. Terribad voice acting in English. I had to turn that off... One of the few voices I have switched to Japanese...

And yes, I hope they get a handle on Ibuki's voice before they release her. She needs to sound like a valley girl again...not a cast member of Alvin and the Chipmunks...

My main is supposed to be Chun, but I also think I am playing Mika better.

I still want to practice Karin too, but I need to search for more of her bnbs.

Next time we play, try hosting. Probably your internet is better than mine and should be better for us to play.

DLC characters cost 100,000 FM each and you can easily get enough for multiple characters via the character level up bonues and stuff from Survival and Story Mode.

If you complete all the character stories you get around 160,000FM and completing them and the Survival Mode (Easy) for each character gets you around 256,000FM (if I remember right).

From there it gets a bit harder because Normal mode is braindead easy until the last two or so fights then it becomes somewhat hard.

No one knows the FM rewards from the Challenges that are coming in March. They could be good and make it fairly trivial to get FM or it could be slightly more than the 50FM per match win. We don't know yet.


Costumes will cost 40,000FM which seems disproportionate compared to the characters, like for the price of two and a half costumes you can buy a fully featured fighter. And there are Premium costumes that can only be bought with Zenny which is a real money currency (like $5 = 500 Zenny (eg, not sure the actual rate)). I think you can also buy Fight Money because I don't remember seeing how much Characters of Costumes cost in Zenny.
 
Its weird that Rukia's (Bleach) Voice actress is like 5 characters in this game and she barely changes her voice around lol. I don't mind as I like her voice.
