Sorry for the dump, it's not sorted. Mago uses the last one alot and it's pretty devious, but very hard to do.
Looks like I have some required viewing, today. To the lab!
Making meaty setups isn't that hard. There's so much frame data available now and the input buffers mean there's really no excuse when you mess up. Dashes have a 9-frame input buffer, for god's sake.
Interesting, what was it for SF4? It makes sense for Capcom to expand that window, since meatys and frame advantage is especially important in SF5.

can someone explain to me what these cards mean?
does it mean that these characters are making the cut for SFV in the future?
or is it some weird Pokeomon card game that I don't get?

So after that 1 update about how future DLC characters will be playable in story mode, have we heard a peep from Capcpcom?
They said that we'd get an update after E3. Plus given that we're supposed to get the update next week, I'd expect that we'll hear something within the next few days on a release date for the update.

Didn't we have a capcom rep answering questions just last week?

Didn't haunts answer a bunch of stuff on Reddit?

isn't there another shitty SF5 thread over in gaming with combofiend addressing eight frames of lag?

Didn't we get like 30 minutes of story and a sneak peak of balrog last week?

Wasn't the last blog update only 12 days ago right before E3?

They gave us several updates this month on the status of the game and its future. What's more to say until the upcoming big update actually hits at the end of this month?

Several? I only recall one, but I've lost a lot of interest in the game at this point, so I haven't been reading this thread regularly, hence my initial question about "did we get any more updates?"

Also, putting up an actual release date would be nice. It's no surprise that it won't be this week, but do we have to assume it's going to be next Thursday because it's the last day of the month again?

You could assume it will be next Thursday because they said they're looking at the last week of the month.

They've said last week of June.

It looks like shitting on SFV is GAF's new favorite pastime.

It feels like it. Especially from the ones that don't even play fighting games and never touched SFV.

Edit: It doesn't even matter if the news is good or bad, it will turn into a LOL SFV sucks thread.

I remember using this tech with Guy's EX Run Armor into Ultra 2. It was pretty decent vs Safe jumps.

But I wonder what is the point for Birdie. I mean wouldn't he be able to Hitconfirm in to super anyway? if the Bullhead hit ?

From the description, he is using ex bullhead into super since the game does not take the meter away instantly. Since armor is on frame 1, he can used it to beat things on wakeup.

Oh I thought his regular ones also have Frame 1 armor. This is pretty good wakeup option I guess.

There really is a 'SFV is doomed' thread gaming side every week isn't there?

It's bizarre at this point. My immediate thoughts are that its just a bunch of people who have always sucked at SF bitching and moaning since they finally have something of a target, but I don't like dismissing legit beefs. It just seems that legitimacy is becoming lost in all the noise though. Ah well, that's why I remain in this thread.

As far as I've understood it, the 8 frames of delay are identical between PC and PS4, granted you don't mod your PC version to turn off vsync or use a gsync monitor. However, I'm constantly hearing known players who should know better (Gootecks, Mike Ross, Floe, etc) saying matter-of-factly that you shouldn't play on PC because the lag difference will really screw you up, so are these guys just massively uninformed or do they know something I don't?

Tournament players might say that because most tournaments are on PS4. If you're used to PC timing, you might not perform well on the tournament stage where PS4 is the norm...

This- even if you don't fuck with v-sync, there is a slight timing difference which might throw you off.

PSA: Don't waste your money on any of Mad Catz's new sticks. I just got a replacement TE2+ after the first one had tons of issues, and immediately upon trying it out I find that the new replacement doesn't work either.

Wait, really? So there's still a timing difference without v-sync off for sure?

It's small (like 1F or something), but supposedly, yeah.

After the first madcatz TE wouldn't even be detected on some motherboard chips, I never bothered. Hori all the way. Gonna get a Kai once a good promo comes along. Or hoping for a Ps3/4/PC silent stick refresh comes out by then
