This is what I got for a character I've never used in this order (so it includes level up bonuses):
Story -> Easy -> Normal
10K + 6K + 10K = 26K
I checked and you are right... I did some Hard modes without remember lol

26k per char

416k total

Yeah, I've had great experiences with the netcode too. Far less lag than MKX or Smash Wii U for me.

But that always varies by country, region, internet, people's equipment etc. so it's hard to compare across people.

If you're talking about me, I paid $60 for a title and want to play it my way with various things that are included in the game not making me grind extensively for them.

Like I said: If the story outfits weren't "on-disc" and being DLC? I wouldn't bitch about the paltry FM you get for doing the story mode (LOL at that mode) and how much it costs to get ALL outfits. I get Capcom is needing money/microtransactions, but you don't microtransactions stuff that unlocked via playing the game AND already on the disc and being used in your story mode. You microtransactions things POST-launch/things you develop after the game is already out the door.

And there's also valid critics versus offline-play modes. There's no reason Versus CPU shouldn't have been in at launch, etc.

Sorry me "peeing on your game" lovefest isn't matching your opinion of the game. But I feel stung hard by the bare-bones and questionable design decisions Capcom made with this title.
I agree, but how many more times do you need to say this? I'm mad as hell to but these are issues they are aware of and venting about it in this topic isn't gonna change anything.

The net code is great for me even in Brasil... the lag sometimes I got seems to be PC ALT+TAB cheaters.

Wait you get Fight money for beating Hell? I thought it was only a title?
Yes... you win FM from both level up and completion.

You get FM for completing a survival mode with a particular character for the first time, same for all difficulties. Clearing Hell for the first time with any character gets you FM and a title, after that it's just FM for clearing it with the rest of the cast.

might be confusing it with no trophy?

I don't know what's Capcom thinking. Alt+Tabbing should be blocked out, or at least disconnect you from the game. Isn't that how it works when pushing the PS button on PS4?

you can actually ps button into the dashboard and come back into the fight without getting disconnected immediately. it probably timesout after awhile though.

Looking forward to the update but I wish they made getting fight money from multiplayer more of a viable option. For all the people complaining about single player content I'd rather not have to grind through the tedious shit for new characters.

50 per fight is to low, but we are still yet to hear about the daily challenges

Thing is Killer Instinct offers both in don't see how that is an issue. Also it won't piss me off at all if it's free to play. The fact that I get 16 characters with an option to gain more fight money from the 16 characters story and survival modes and gaining levels for each of the 16 characters is way more value that a F2p version where you get free fight money to just have 1 character to start with which the existing people would be also getting that free fight money to gain an additional character for free or use for whatever else. This will ensure Capcom has a bugger base of players who would use the store more or even upgrade to the base game. Best of all this would expand the player base of the game and ensure Street Fighter V as a bugger platform for future content.

I still say you can't cannibalize your current business model with a F2P option this early on. Yes it will bring in a bigger base, but at what cost.

If Capcom does decide to implement a F2P model, i.e. give 1 character and charge for additional characters.....that is a long way off. Either you hold back modes or something to not give away the whole game. If you give the whole game + just 1 character and that character is your main...there's no incentive to buy the base game.

OMFG HOLY MOTHER OF MARY IN HEAVEN I CANT BELIEVE IT WTF WHERE ARE MY SEDATIVES AAAAHHH
Here's my concern....

What if you're in a random 8-player lobby and you don't want to fight, just spectate? Will the host have the right to think you're a deadweight and kick you out? Or will there be dedicated "slots" only for spectators?

I believe you can only spectate if you're in the lobby itself so if you're not playing, you're spectating.

It's King of the Hill style so the first 2 players fight. The winner stays on for the next fight but the loser gets knocked down to the bottom of the queue and whoever is next takes their place and this keeps on going.

I guess you could just say in chat that you want to spectate or something (assuming there's an option for that)

if its anything like usf4:

if you don't press the button to 'ready up' when you're next in line it will timeout after 15-20 seconds and bump you to the bottom of the list. that way you can stay in the lobby and just spectate that way.

The tutorial stuff sounds like the exact sort of thing I'm looking for, better late than never I suppose. I might try and get back into the game now, given that I haven't played it since launch week when I finished the story stuff.

It's less funny now that we actually have a date and description for the update but it was funny as hell when the video first came out.

I just seen it for the first time cause of the related videos on the official one. I speak Spanish so it kinda kills the text but the laughing alone is killing me.

They haven't mentioned a single thing regarding the alt-tab exploit, have they? I have a real funny feeling they're just going to let that one rock.

strange seeing so many complaining about the netcode. It's been great for me overall ever since the betas. Sure I get a desynced match once in a while but I'm even able to play my friend on his fucking mcdonalds wifi dsl and get good matches usually. Far cry from MVC3, SF4, MK9 which felt bad online even at the best of times and were miserable otherwise. Granted I don't play every single fighting game in existence online but the only one I've played that's been consistently better than this in terms of lag was rising thunder (which wasn't perfect either).

When it works: fantastic, top notch!

It's when it doesn't and I think that's a population problem and not a coding problem. If you aren't in a popular region, you can get paired with people with spottier connections or over ranked players with superb connections. There's also time of day concerns as well; I don't even bother trying at around 11 PM anymore.

It's telling that I had more frequent quality matches and spent less time waiting in late Feb compared to the last few weeks. I am looking forward to these content drops not because of the content itself but because it hopefully brings more people back to playing.

I live in Ontario, Canada and currently in Bronze league.

funny in context with your post, I'm the same location and same rank...on PS4 and PC actually. I don't really play all that much due to lack of time but I definitely get where you're coming from. I'm not overly hungry about the rank thing but I think I should try and push into Silver soon, I have a month to get ready for a tournament happening right next to my workplace (EGLX in mississauga).

More than anything else I'm looking forward to real lobbies so I can play with all my friends instead of 1 at a time, and GAF lobbies will either be fun or terrifying. There are some really ridiculously good players in the OT.

There's always FM for the rest ;P

They'll most likely just make it a timed exclusive.

They didn't say this. They said season pass holders get a free stage.

Yeah, you guys are right. I have become so cynical towards this game and Capcom that I assumed they'd ONLY make it available to season pass holders.
I hope the new stage is a real new stage and not just the daytime version of Karins wooden bridge one (though I would like to see that become playable too, for regular games).

So I wonder if all 6 dlc characters are gonna have story content or just the first 3 that come out before story.
Either they do it for all or they not for anyone. Makes no sense to not have a standard for this sort of stuff.

Though I imagine some of the DLC characters will probably have story modes that are utterly unrelated to the overall story.

They said all DLC "that affects game balance" is unlockable for free. That means the characters can be unlocked through FM, but since stages are all the same length and costumes don't make any difference, those are only obtainable through real money.

For all their short comings, they have been pretty transparent from the get-go regarding their policies on DLC.

EDIT: That also doesn't mean that all stages and costumes are Zenny only, just that some are. They might even be real money only for a limited time, it's possible.

"As mentioned previously, all post-launch gameplay related content will be earnable with Fight Money, and we have revealed the first details on how players will be able to earn Fight Money when the game comes out."

I'll reserve judgement until it's released and we can potentially buy it for FM, but this doesn't sound accessible to anyone besides season pass holders currently. We'll see though.

Companies wanting money is pretty weird I admit.

And players want there full priced games with a decent amount of content is pretty weird too. No one can say Capcom didn't complete nail the gameplay and many other aspects of this game, but let's be honest this launch was a mess. Yes this is more of game as a service than a completed game at launch, but it seems like my initial payment isn't going as far as Capcom perceived (and it's safe to say I'm not alone by the backlash towards this game).

Nonetheless looking forward to the update and future updates. Hopefully Capcom can get this game back on track too.
