Hmmm. Strange. I didn't have a lot of free time that coincided with the beta periods on PC, so I ended up playing mostly Ken and then screwed around with mika/claw/cammy. I think I also tried a little bit of Karin, but not much. I ended up putting in more time with Ken than trying the others out not only because I really didn't like not being able to select a different character once a match was lined up.
 
Best Buy is updating my shipment of the Collector's Edition to my house. There's a small chance it might hit MONDAY. Let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So freakin' excited.

I haven't tried him yet but I hear Necalli is at least partially a charge character as well.
 
Despite sucking horribly at fighting games, I'm so pumped about this game. I'm getting the digital version on PS4. Now to try to convince ANY of my friends to buy it as well.

Ouch, well I will be able to wait for the lobby expansion. I mainly played 1v1 in a lot of fighting games last gen, though I did start with big room parties before it ended at 1v1. 1 month at the most hopefully.
 
Since this is the only open SFV thread I can find, can someone help verify if PS4 sticks can be used for the PC version, as in plug and play? Trying to see which version to preorder before Tuesday.

For the PC beta, you had to use some program like JoyToKey to map the keys to the stick and if it's the same for the final game, I rather just get the PS4 version.
 
I can't seem to make a battle lounge with more than one other player. Other people I invite say the room is full.

What am I doing wrong here?

What you wrote at the bottom is still the case, although it's in the works to get DInput working for plug and play

Also I don't know about you guys but 8 player lobby without spectating sounds horrible. It will be good to get a big lobby going when spectating drops
 
I don't give a shit about all this barebones stuff some people are spouting, but these frame drops I'm seeing on LI Joe's stream are unacceptable.

I'm not a framerate junkie but SF's gotta run smooth.

Yeah it's unlikely but I'll give it a shot. I'm intimidated too. But this time I feel like I'm ok with getting the shit kicked out of me online and not have my soul crushed completely. Well, to a point. Almost all other fighting games I end up just preferring to spectate tournaments online than actually playing them myself.

Thanks for the answer. Guess I'll preorder and pick up the PS4 version at Best Buy. I'll double dip on the PC version down the road.

Also any lobby that hosts more than 3 people without a spectator mode is horrible.
 
I feel like this game just punished me for playing it early. I unlocked some of Karin's colors by playing Survival Mode. I come home and start the game back up and find that I don't have access to the colors anymore, but the game still states that I cleared Survival Mode. Wtf...
 
Anyone know the best way to mod sticks/get paper to put new stick designs on? I got that irresponsible bundle from GameStop and I don't hate Chun, but I think it would be cool to customize it with those blue sides.

?!?!?!? So Training Mode is the only safe mode to play in if you get the game before actual release...
