Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC

I'll be incredibly bummed out if the game doesn't have a day one patch to fix the frame drops. I also couldn't care less about it being bare bones but the fact that there's almost nothing in the game and it's also going to have performance problems, fuck.

Interesting... So when you pick a character... there already are some colors to choose from BEFORE you even unlock them, right? Or are we stuck with the basic color outfit of characters until we actually unlock a color...?
 
Tangentially related , I am watching the super best friends play ex3 and am reaffirmed in my feelings of not understanding with folks saying they want all the ex characters, because most of them are horrible.
 
Playing online. X360->PS4 (HRAP VX SA) Brooks works great, setup was super easy.

Inwonder if its because so many nyc peeps got the game early but matches have been completely lag free so far

It happens during general play? I wasn't paying attention to them much since I assumed it was only the stream dropping frames rather than the game. I was surprised to hear Joe say otherwise when someone asked him about it.

Everyone starts out with 2 colors, and you unlock the rest by playing different levels of Survival Mode. Easy mode unlocks color 3, Normal unlocks 4, 5, & 6. I unlocked up to color 6 last night. Started the game up just now, and I could only select from colors 1 & 2 again, but the game still showed that I'd cleared Easy and Normal Survival the night before.

I started freaking out and thought I'd permanently be stuck w/ colors 1 & 2. But I just played through Easy Survival and was able to unlock color 3 again. Phew! Looks like something that can be fixed with a patch.
 
I noticed all of the voiceover in menus and before fights was not playing when I first started. Had to restart my system and it was fine. Wondering if it was a bug when the patch was installed? Just a heads up for anyone who experiences that issue.

Story mode is a joke - only 4 matches, 1 round each with the dumbest possibly AI. Definitely not a substitute for those wanting an arcade mode. Easy 10k fight money per character.

Survival is really cool though. You spend points for perks or can double your points in the next fight if you take some disadvantages. Only issue there is you have to finish it (30 fights) in order to get exp/fight money. And I believe that only applies to the first time you finish it per character.

Lots of fun so far, almost every character here is really solid and fun to play. Really digging R. Mika!

Does playing Normal unlock Easy's color, for instance?
 
There's framerate troubles on PS4? That is... Seriously ridiculous. Were they there during the betas?

I feel like the hype for this game has taken a bit of a nosedive...
 
Is this the best thread to ask this in?

About the retailer pre-order costumes; are those expected to be available for purchase later, either with fight money or real money? I'd rather get a digital copy of the game but I want the Cammy costume from Best Buy. ;_;
 
I personally haven't noticed any real noticeable framerate drops from the time I've played the game. This is with the 6gb patch installed as well. I've only been playing training mode if that makes any difference.

Yeah, you might have noticed his lariat and command grabs are worse too.

I've had matchmaking off the entire time (I think). There's still noticeable drops. I'm avoiding playing matches online for now. Seems like things are still getting sorted out. Forgot to mention that the game erased all of the fight money I'd earned from Survival Mode too. It's worth noting that before I lost my progress, the game gave me some weird Network error message and stated that there was issues authenticating my username or something.
 
Sorry for the dumb question, and i hope nobody minds me asking this in this SFV thread.

Is there any word yet from Capcom, on adding official D-input support for the PC version. ?
 
Yo if you were that guy picking up this game around 3pm in the brick cold in NYC, with your baby mom and newborn in a stroller in this brick cold weather, I just want to say you are a terrible father.

Can you give me examples of when these noticeable drops usually occur? Certain stages/characters/moves?
