Street Fighter X Tekken E3 Trailer and Info

Everything about the game sounds great, and a big improvement from SFIV. MY biggest concern is the janky ass wake up animations. The roll looks fucking horrible, and it's just another mash srk moment. If I don't see an improvement before release, I probably won't buy this game. My biggest problem with SFIV is seeing the oki/wakeup options. You can't tell if something is meaty or it is not, and fucking meaty throws/command throws can go die in a fucking fire.

Chains in marvel don't really matter because of all the assists and hypers and flight going on. I don't like them, but I don't think it makes as big of an impact on Marvel. I'd rather not have them, though, and have hard links.
 
To be fair, Mox. Jojo's is pretty shit at a low level, too. Once you move past the excitement from ORAORAORAORAORAORAORA and WRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, you are left with what was just a rushed, ugly, cash-in game. Jojo's is the Japanese Shaq-fu.

I disagree. But that's neither here nor there.

You'd have a point if we weren't talking about Ono's game where a link and a block string does not necessarily mean you can't be punished between them. Hit stun and block stun aren't the same in Ono's games. One thing I really dislike about SF4, and am pretty sure will carry over to SxT.

Yep. I would much rather the MvC3 team make Darkstalkers.

But, if they do make a new Darkstalkers, that pretty much guarantees a VS release w/ GGPO. So there's that to be happy about.

In Marvel I think of everything as cancels instead of chains.

The chain combos make sense in this game since it's a Vs. title and half of the cast is from Tekken. As long as they stall the hell out of the main SF series (and no target combos in SF5, please) . . .

A target combo IS a chain combo, just specific for that character.

How do they make characters less distinct? I'm thinking of MvC3 and even though every character has their magic series they each play insanely differently.

Not gonna lie, I would've been fine if he wasn't in the game but...you showed him in one of the early CGI movies...but then again so was NANCY...

If you want to be pedantic, fine. I don't want universal chain combos like we're seeing here in Street Fighter, nor do I want selected characters to have them like Street Fighter has been doing for awhile now.
 
This game just should not exist. Capcom has cancelled fighters before... Here's to hoping.

Yeah, I thought that at first too, but somehow I've turned around on it thanks to E3.

There's still a tiny voice in my head that occasionally goes "Who was asking for this?"/"Where's SFvsMK?", however. But this game seems okay.
 
Please, please, PLEASE let this game have some actual blockstun and unmashable reversals.

Still hype for it, but I'm more catiously optimistic than anything.

Shoutouts to instant dive kicks still being in this, hahaha.
 
I don't know what other people feel this about this, but I found the life bars hard to keep track off in terms of how much life I had left. I am slightly color blind, but sometimes I lost track when looking at the game and back to the life bar.

I am not even colorblind, and I can tell you once they go past the 15% mark I barely can tell how much life they have.
 
Yeah the graphics as a whole I am starting to like more now but that hud is way too distracting. Moves and animates too much. Something simple would be much better imo.
