I can't help but feel I would have enjoyed this story a lot more if all the characters involved didn't come across as pretty horrible people.

Lol i know what it means i look it up before writing it, whatever this girl needs to learn to expand her vocabulary

"Lol. I know what it means. I looked it up before writing it. Whatever, this girl needs to learn to expand her vocabulary."

And you want to crticize others for their writing? Trashy.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised GAF has a lot of dudes who'll believe whatever a stripper tells them.

Am I right in thinking this story supposedly happened during spring break this year? So Jess has a new fiance in October? God damn girl.

this thing begins like that fake Jess edition, as if the troll is trying take two. How sure are that this is the actual jarrett
I'm not sure at all, a Redditor found it. I choose to believe it though (it lines up with the original pretty well, sans the parts that portray Jarrett badly).

So how is Z rich when he couldn't even do better than then three dudes at $100 each that night ? He didn't even know about the Backpage website ?

Like wot.

And Zola is an amazing writer. She utilized twitter to tell a complex story in a really engaging way.

haha, "amazing writer". she told a crazy story on twitter, get it together people.

i wish everyone would stop encouraging these awful people.

Don't get me wrong.Its an awful,awful story.

However, this is the longest string of tweets I've ever read and she managed to relate a story with multiple characters and even created a certain atmosphere.

Twitter is usually pretty boring and predictable ,but this wasn't.I just didn't think Twitter could work for that.

Maybe I am just taken aback by the novelty of telling a complete tale on twitter as opposed to the usual "witty" one liners or trends on the website.

So this guy that got busted for human-trafficking is named Keith “Smurf” Hamlet. Smurf...zzzzmurf....z, I can totally see why Zola would think his name started with a "Z."

edit: nevermind the real "z" was identified as Akporode Uwedjojevwe with his arrest record posted. He got nicked in Neveda, another point to Zola!!

ad his name is impossible to pronounce too, kind of fits the story

pfft, plenty copycats tried to make her story sound better, yet failed miserably, even Jess' managed to make me fall asleep with her vantage point. lowkey it works best in her language.

Zola is currently telling a new story y'all. It involves four men of Hispanic descent. LOL
It's brief though. It's clearing the air about something Jess put in her story.

I've been eyeing this thread for a few days now and finally braced myself and read. Holy shit. Just.

Okay, all obvious things aside, she can really write.

Both of these strippers (and possibly more) want to make themselves look innocent and above the lifestyle, so we can't trust either side.

In Zola's story she is observing / providing expert strategy the whole time, never doing anything shady.

In Jess' story she was successful at dancing and Zola did all the shady stuff.

Logic says they were both dancing and prostituting and want to pin it all on the other person. Zola knows too much about backpage and stuff, Jess was riding with a pimp, they're all traveling together to make money, they were all prostituting and neither story is 100% true.
Hollywood should make a Rashomon remake using this story.

Man the true story behind this is pretty sad. Seems Wells at least is benefitting from it. Swiatkowski is straight up Stockholm syndrome though.

I'm actually surprised more of this than not ended up being true. The more outlandish details seem to be false, but hey, storytelling and all that. I hope the movie version (if it happens) doesn't go for 100% accuracy and more for entertainment.

Looks like the journey ends here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-the-epic-twitter-story-too-crazy-to-be-real/

Just about all the question of Zola's story have been answered. Jessica looking more like a co-conspirator than a victim now.

All who questioned the story from the start should read this. There's even worse truth in here than her story. The way they operate without remorse and prey upon innocent girls is scary. Jess is bonkers.

So all you gotta do to become rich in america is write a story in ghetto slang about being a real life prostitute, but make sure to play the innocent bystander that wasn't an actual prostitute.

Good lesson for the young girls who happen across this on twitter.

Moral ambiguity refuses to make you rich?
