Cesaro's was better IMO

Big Show was around 440 pounds at this point. When Kane did it, Show was closer to 530.

Someone should post the gif of Lesner super plexing Big Show off the top turn buckle onto the ring that causes it to fall apart.

You know people like that.

Even if it was set up.

lol.

Was that how they intended the segment to go?

What are you talking about? All I see is Dino breaking the (at the time) world record all by himself. Of course that was intended. Why would they do it if Dino couldn't lift that? And he did it, so I don't know why you'd even ask such a question.

What records could that fat ass possibly have?

I went and found a post Dave Meltzer did on the topic on the Wrestling Observer board

Mark Henry and Kazmaier should be considered the two strongest. Paul Anderson and Douglas Hepburn were super strong for their era, but training methods have changed, drugs have changed and guys now are way stronger than in that period. Still, Anderson was the strongest man who had ever lived up to the point he was in his prime.

Patera was super strong as well, as was Furnas as far as overall strength. Bruno didn't do roids so wouldn't be quite at that level, but for endurance strength, he was a marvel. Bruno's best lift was the bench and he did a 565 competition style. There are roid guys who have done more. Norton did 640, Kaz did 661 and Arcidi did 705, but I doubt any of them would have done 565 clean. Doing 38 reps with 335 on the bench is unheard of, and he'd work out with 500 for five sets of five and I trained with some of the strongest men in the world in the 80s and I never saw anyone approach that. I know of people who believe Kaz and Henry are two of the strongest men who have ever lived.

What a fat ass

I thought the door was actually gimmicked. It's just that Henry couldn't figure it out.

I think the problem was that the chain had a weak link, but was placed around the door in a way where it couldn't be exploited.

Sounds like WWE got lucky.
What the hell was supposed to happen if he doesn't break in?

Batista probably would have just stood there like a dumbass for weeks if necessary.

It's Ken Patera or Mark Henry

Olympic 3-Lift Total - 1,397.5 lb (633.9 kg)
→ the highest 3-lift total ever made by an American[5]

Those other guys are strong, but Patera and Henry are actual Olympic lifters.

Mark Henry. It's not even a contest. He's arguably the greatest powerlifter of all time (certainly top 2 or 3), and he was clean, and he was done by his early 20s... so he never even lifted professionally in his prime.

Andre the Giant might be up there. Probably the strongest non-bodybuilder/powerlifter, though no one knows just how strong he really was since he didn't even strength train or hit the weights.
Even guys who could bench 500 lbs were in awe of his strength.

(btw, the Andre flipping a car story is just an urban legend, but hiim drinking 154 beers is most definitely fact)

Goldberg was crazy strong, shame WWE used him so poorly (and WCW too). Cesaro and Lesnar are just beasts. I read Cena trains with Cesaro a lot now because Cesaro is the only one who can keep up with him in the gym.

One time I saw Dino Bravo do pushups with this really fat guy from the audience sitting on his back!

Mark Henry

He was a two-time Olympian in 1992 and 1996 and a Silver, Gold and Bronze Medalist at the Pan American Games in 1995. As a powerlifter, he was WDFPF World Champion (1995) and a two-time U.S. National Champion (1995 and 1997) as well as an all-time raw world record holder in the squat and deadlift. Currently, he still holds the WDFPF world records in the squat, deadlift and total and the USAPL American record in the deadlift since 1995. He is credited for the biggest raw squat and raw powerlifting total ever performed by a drug tested athlete, regardless of weight class, as well as the greatest raw deadlift by an American citizen.

In weightlifting, Henry was a three-time U.S. National Weightlifting Champion (1993, 1994, 1996), an American Open winner (1992), a two-time U.S. Olympic Festival Champion (1993 and 1994) and a NACAC champion (1996). He holds all three Senior US American weightlifting records of 1993-1997. In 2002 he won the first annual Arnold Strongman Classic.

For shorter guys, Scott Norton and Rick Steiner did some ridiculous stuff too. I remember exploding for Rick's catch powerslams all the time.

While obviously Henry & others can lift heavier weights than Lesnar does, I think Lesnar's the strongest wrestler I've seen as far as what he can functionally do in matches.

C'mon it was clearly the WSM. Guy holds records that still haven't been beaten.

Most athletic has to be the beast incarnate Lesnar though. If they did a WSM competition between the WWE wrestlers with Altus stones, flipping tyres and shit I reckon he'd ace it.

Mark Henry. as far as using that strength for great spots in match, it's Goldberg.

that's 275lb Scott Steiner coming off the turnbuckle.

scott hall was the only person who could outsell the rock in a bump

the visuals of hall's bumps were almost always amazing with a tinge of goof. the rock's usually tended to go overdrive in the goof department
