I want to put up an avatar, but when I got to edit avatar my stuff says do not use an avatar, and won't let me unclick it. what do I need to do?

its not under edit avatar, its under edit profile or something like that.

u cannot upload avatars to the forums u must host it yourself, its in edit profile down the bottom i think
