If I crossed the event horizon of a black hole, and you were communicating with me via radio from the outside, you'd see me slow down and hear my voice drawl out until my image and sound both ultimately freeze. My question: what would I experience? Until I hit the center of that black hole and am presumably ripped apart, am I simply unaware I have crossed the horizon? Am I wondering why you are not responding, or can I hear you keep asking why I am speaking like a slo-mo movie? My understanding is time for me would be moving almost infinitely fast relative to you, so five seconds for me would be many lifetimes for you. Do I actually hear you say anything at all? Or in the milliseconds of my crossing, have you already spent your life waiting? Basically, if "time" continues normally for me between the event horizon and the center of the black hole, do I keep receiving your communications as I normally would, but with my own responses unable to escape the gravity of the hole?
