Any recommendation for good PC headphones that also have a microphone?

It might not be quite that, but you can't beat a pair of Audio Technica AD700's and a Zalman clip-on mic.

I stuck the cords together with gardeners' tape and I sometimes forget that they aren't one device.

Typically is the other way around :) Any place in which i could find a list of books inspired by movies?

Are graphic novels in the same level (prestige, acceptance, whatver) as more traditional literature? And is there graphic novels based on movies?

Thanks for any potential answers.

Reading a book about a sniper in Vietnam and it has me itching for some Vietnam movies. Any recommendations other than Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, We Were Soldiers, or Apocalypse Now?

(those are excluded because I have them already)

Bat 21. BADASS movie. Gene Hackman and Danny Glover. Gene went down behind enemy lines and the movie focuses on him teaming up with Danny (heli pilot) to get out of Vietnam.

Also, the movie Sniper (1993) is awesome. I need to rewatch that. It's not Vietnam though, it's in Central America I believe.

You mean, like, novelizations?

No. With a few exceptions, graphic novels tend to be looked down on by lit types. But then, most fun things are.

Dress shirt plus sweater vest. Tie or no tie included?

Oopps. Its just a sweater with a v neck. Not a vest. All blue. Tie is yellow.

Hey guys, I have a bit of a problem.

Ok, my family has 2 different cars. About 2 days ago, the car keychain remotes stopped working. I replaced the batteries, but they still didn't work.

When I took the car out to the store, the remote worked again perfectly. It seems when the cars are parked in a line on my driveway, the remotes do not work. When we parked the car across the street from my driveway, it also did not work. But when we tested it down the street, it started to work.

We also tried parking it on a neighbours driveway just 2 houses down, (just about 20 feet away), it also worked.

The hell is going on? There is probably some signal interrupting the remotes, but what is it? The signal also affects two different cars?

We do not have wifi, and nothing in our house changed the past 2 days.

Many years ago, during a field trip to an aerospace related facility with my junior high classmates, I got to see a real satellite which had been launched not long before. I somehow remembered a staff told us that the one on the ground was manufactured side-by-side to the one in the sky, and satellites or rockets were always manufactured in pairs. He also gave us some explanations as to why it's done that way, but I don't remembered.

Has anyone else heard of such practice (manufactures always make two copies of the same satellites)? If true, why?

I don't have any source saying it's true but I would guess that it is just because it provides redundacy. If the satellite or rocket breaks before launch due to an accident they have an identical twin to fall back on. I would think that this is important because rocket launches are mad expensive and can't be delayed without making more costs. Thus it is probably is cheaper to make two of them at the same time instead making a replacement if things go wrong.

Hello Cyan.

Basically the usual case we heard of a movie based on "X" novel. Im trying to find a list of a reverse case in which a novel or any other artistic work of literature is inspired by the movie.
I don't know about a list (it would be huge!), but it is very common for movies to have a tie-in novelization. Sometimes even if it was based on a written work to begin with, e.g. Total Recall has a novelization.

What does "based" mean?

Ex. "Thank you based Capcom" or something.

If you want to see something about the air war over Vietnam, check out Flight of the Intruder.

I've got to watch that one again soon.

When Japanese is written with this alphabet, why are there irregular pronounciation rules compared how how things are spelled? I'm specifically talking silent Us and Ns turning into Ms: why would they not be spelled as they are pronounced? Are corresponding Japanese characters just turned into syllables and do the irregularities within the language follow with them?

Each day I receive about 8 emails from amazon about their "incredible deals!"

Today I received one about a fucking vacuum. How do I stop this shit?

My D-Link router suddenly refuses admin access to it through my PC so I can edit details, view/edit WEP keys, etc.

What gives? I power-cycled the damned thing and my cable modem, twice.

:(

Any help appreciated.

My internet connection itself is working fine, though.

Is there any chance of The Animatrix getting a US Blu-Ray release? I know it's in the collection box, but I already own the fantastic first film and I don't really want Reloaded or Revolutions.

Does that put you to sleep? I'm trying to figure something that'll make me fall asleep.
Eventually, it does. I can't sleep until my body is ready. Reading in a mostly dark and quiet room takes my mind off other things and helps me relax. It might take an hour, but at least I haven't wasted the time trying to convince myself to sleep.

What do you do when you can't sleep? I'm browsing the net which isn't helping me sleep.

I believe the current advice is that if you can't get to sleep after 20 minutes of trying, get up and do something else. Ideally not something that involves a pc/tv screen as that messes up our circadian rhythms or something. Read a book?

The left and right buttons on my laptop's touch pad act as a middle click when pushed at the same time.

Is there any way to make this happen with my actual mouse? Its middle click button just took a crap.

Are there any harmful lasting effects if you don't treat TMJ near the start of occurrence. I have developed it for a year now, but I don't even know the first place to look for help.

I live in Canada and my friend is back in New Zealand for the summer, would it cost me money to text her?

Depends on your mobile plan. Well, actually, I guess the answer is 'yes' it just depends if you pay per text message or pay however much for unlimited texts.

Well, I mean, I have unlimited texts, but does it matter that she lives in New Zealand? She told me that it would cost me extra due to the distance, but I don't really understand that. I can text people in the US no problem, so...?
