I wanted to change my email, but it said I can't because its a free email. Is there a way to get around this?
I think if you pm a mod/admin directly asking they are usually happy to do so for you. The whole free email thing is really to limit the people getting on, not stop people who are already members.I wanted to change my email, but it said I can't because its a free email. Yeah, thats how I got the account, but I might not be able to access it soon.Do you have a work, ISP, or school email you can use?
Ok, that is what I thought. Just any mod will do? They all have the ability?I think if you pm a mod/admin directly asking they are usually happy to do so for you. The whole free email thing is really to limit the people getting on, not stop people who are already members.

From their site:
You should be good to go, especially since you have a good reason for returning them as you got bad advice from their employee.
I returned open items a couple of times because they weren't compatible with the item they were supposed to be used with and they took them in, as long as they weren't damaged.
Thinking of a book cannot for the life of me remember the name of it. The name of the book is after the main character, I believe it's told in journal entries. Don't remember much about it only that the guy is very much a wuss, is "melancholy" or described as such a bunch, and is in love with someone who either can't be with him or doesn't know he exists. It's placed I wanna say in the 1800s? But I really am not sure about that. The main thing I remember is that at the end he shoots himself, but unfortunately he only paralyzes himself and has to wait to bleed out very slowly.
Very random question, anybody know this book?
Why do US news stations when reporting from countries that speak another language use translators from that country with a thick accent, to translate it to English, rather than letting an US English-speaking person do the translation from the other language in their standard US accent?
Outside of the whole "Slippery Slope" argument, is there any justification in NOT using the Crackdown (2007 360 game) kill on sight method in dealing with street gangs?

I don't know if it's just a Pittsburgh thing, but Subway seems to always be run by and staffed by Eastern Europeans around here. Anyone know why this is? Is it like this everywhere?

How come certain paired words sound more appropriate in a particular order?
For example:
- Mom and dad
- Brother and sister
- Bacon and eggs
- Salt and pepper
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Black and white
It's just the way you grew up hearing them. You've been conditioned to hear things a certain way. For example one of yours doesn't ring true for me. To me it will always be Eggs and Bacon.
Someone's always gonna be the one to start a trend and then others get conditioned. I'm not even a native english speaker and I'm still conditioned to agree with your examples :lolWhy were they consistently put in this order in the first place, though? If at some point they were said in either order, why did only one end up sticking?
During above-ground atomic testing, you'd always see those smokey, wavering parallel lines next to the blast. What causes that?

Probably not.If there is a service charge in a restaurant bill, do you still leave a tip?
It's salty, spicy, and cheap. I don't use the whole packet, maybe just 1/2 or 2/3.

Does Amazon's pre-order price guarantee take effect when the item ships, or as soon as the product's price changes? I pre-ordered season 2 of Game of Thrones back when it was $35, but yesterday/today Amazon changed the price to $29.99. However, my price is still listed as $35.
Will my price change to $29.99 once it ships, or should it have changed already?
Pre-Order Price Guarantee
Amazon.com's price for not-yet-released items sometimes changes between the time the item is listed for sale and the time it is released and shipped. Whenever you pre-order a book, CD, video, DVD, video game, or software item, the price we charge when we ship it to you will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.com between the time you place your order and the end of the day on the release date. The order summary in Your Account will reflect the lowest price within 24 hours of the price change.
If your order enters the shipping process before the release date and the price is lowered on the release date, we will automatically refund your credit card for the difference between the price you were charged and the release-date price within 48 hours of the release date. If you didn't use a credit card to pay for your order, please contact customer service through the Contact Us button on the right side of any Help page.
Our Pre-Order Price Guarantee applies only to items sold by Amazon.com, and not to items (or prices) offered by other sellers on our site.
What time is Sony's "conference" or whatever it's supposed to be this Wednesday? Also, where can I watch a live stream of it? Thanks!
What is a good site to post your views on specific subject? Would Tumblr be that? Like certain opinions, gaming and anything else really. Thanks.
Stupid question time again, didn't want to start a new thread.
Did some googling and I can't convince myself either way, but I got a thing in mail that said I was eligible for $365 in computer parts or $67 in cash because of an emachines class action lawsuit. And that all I have to do is mail a copy of my DL in with the form they give me. Googling, I couldn't find any seemingly legit sites about it, (something like actual news or the like).
Scam or no?
Edit: Yes, I've owned emachines.
The copy of the photo ID that is required to make a claim may mask (black out) all private information and need show only the name and photograph. That is, you may black out the personal information on the copy of your ID, but your photograph and name must be legible.
So essentually, you want to blog?
I think that would be it, yes.
