I'll take your word for it, since it's obviously successful by some measure. But when the worst character is the anchor of the show, it's hard to take it. lol
Shinpachi is a buzzkill because he's normal, not because he's despicable!
Yeah, but somehow Ichiko makes me sympathize with Momiji. That's how bad she is. lol

Once we hit her second transformation in Kizumonogatari, we'll finally have the most universally crowd-pleasing anime character ever.

They're much more successful when they just stick to one well-made background that they use for 90% of the episdode a la Natsu no Arashi. It was almost like watching the animated equivalent of a stage play at times.
It is kind of funny thinking of different character designs from, say the 90s, where the characters had really pointy noses and comparing them to more recent shows where characters seem to be lacking a nose almost altogether.

Haha. Well, while I would agree that Futayo in my avatar is busty, to me she's more "regular busty" and more modest sized compared to many of the other girls. For me it's not something I think about when she's onscreen. Chiwa Saito's character Kimi Aoi though has a really large bust and the staff seems to make sure to emphasize that and it's more distracting and off putting for me.

I know Eiken would be a :Chet show but are the others too? I don't really know anything about them. You should take a look at watching Horizon maybe because it's got quite a bit of :Chet as you probably already know.

I thought about watching them initially when they first started airing but ultimately chose to watch other shows for now. I'll probably watch them later at some point though.

I'm 90% sure that's what you're supposed to be doing. Momiji is the more sympathetic character and it's brought up. Should be a whole arc about it at the end of the show.
I'm pretty sure he was. Considering this is apparently the only good thing to come from the Type-Moon universe.

She's only sympathetic in comparison though. Although, I almost feel like she has to amp her horribleness up in order to compensate for Ichiko's horribleness. lol
(I'd probably like the show a lot more if Momiji was the main character and it was about her trying to deal with this insufferable person that she's forced to be around).

This episode perfectly encapsulated the combination of heartwarming and light humor that makes this show such a joy to watch. It never fails to bring a smile to my face. Getting to see Yuno interact with her parents - a loving representation of concerned parents everywhere - was a treat.
Hidamari Sketch definitely has a lot of abstract, random backgrounds, which Shaft can get away due to the art school setting, but it does every now and them have some stylized backgrounds with a clear point to them. For example, in this episode:
The ellipses in this background represent the awkward silence between Yuno and her father and their uncertainty of what to say to each other now that her mother walked away for a bit.

Eh, they're exceptionally popular otaku-works which isn't the same thing as being accessible at all. I tend to think of 'accessible' in terms of works that you don't need to be a super-nerd to get into, like Summer Wars.

You can't get much more :chet than Eiken. I haven't even heard of the other shows, so I wouldn't know.
And I've been planing to start watching Horizon eventually.
My memory is bad on that particular point, but it's at least indicated that the act in question can now be performed at will by her, meaning that a "reversion" wouldn't be permanent either, I guess.

I guess that depends on whether said author sat in on every single script meeting personally and actively participated in the direction of the screenplays and alternations in the content.
I can play several instruments! Some of them much better than others but learning new instruments is a very fund and rewarding experience! >_>
The show being centered around a music club is what initially drew me towards it but I stayed for the cute.

All that K-On talk reminds me that I should get around to watching the 2nd season. Because I don't have a choice.
I loathed and despised the first season so much, and I keep stalling every time I try to progress through the 2nd. I hate this show, nothing more than utter contempt for this lousy franchise. It is the worst form of otakubait trash. I'm just glad the franchise is finally dead.

That first one with Kaiki would be the perfect desktop background for me if the trees didn't uniformly cut off at the same length. I guess I could crop it slightly.
Saying TLR does the MMO thing better than SAO just because of boobs.
