I think a few others have mentioned this and I'd have to go back to the first episodes for a more definitive answer but I seem to recall that it was the girls had just obtained their powers and such were not used to the energy drain their powers required. Having fought a few battles and getting accustomed to it or obtaining more endurance they are now able to perform their abilities a few times.

An analogy I might use would be running a mile when you've never run one before and thus you would be quite tired. After a few times though you would start building up your endurance and such so if required perhaps you could now run two or even three miles where before, when first starting out, you were unable.

Again, I'd have to go back and check to be absolutely sure though.

Normally I try not to just respond in ways such as, "I like show X too!", type of thing but [B]Hyouka[/B]'s music really is nice, both the original and borrowed classical pieces. I also agree with yourself and [B]PoeticProse22[/B] that the music used really does do a good job to accentuate the mood or atmosphere in the scenes they are used.

Oh really? Personally I love shmups but more the "bullet hell" variety. If you do get into the genre then I recommend pretty much anything from the company named CAVE. Pizzaroll already mentioned the titles Akai Katana and Deathsmiles.

Yeah, like, maybe if she somehow put skates made out of ice on the bottom of her boots, that would make more sense... but stepping on ice barefoot sucks, so I can't imagine making a shoe out of ice and wearing it.

I think a few others have mentioned this and I'd have to go back to the first episodes for a more definitive answer but I seem to recall that it was the girls had just obtained their powers and such were not used to the energy drain their powers required. Having fought a few battles and getting accustomed to it or obtaining more endurance they are now able to perform their abilities a few times.

Well, honestly they don't care about continuity because sometimes Candy is allowed to talk and walk around and other times she has to pretend to be a doll. Hell, sometimes the Precure are on the news in the movies or whatever. lol

I'll buy that there is a plausible in-universe explanation - perhaps they did get stronger - but I just remember when the show first began that they emphasized the characters could only use their powers once, mostly because it forced the "new girl" to power up and use her newly gained powers.

I think it's that and the fact that people notice the negative things much more than the postive things unless the latter is overwhelmingly exceptional.

Personally I've found it much easier to articulate why I don't like something vs. why I do like something. It may just be, as you say, that it is easier to notice the negative.

Oh, that's the first time the trailer has ever been online. Nice. The film itself has been a regular fixture at the Ufotable Cinema since it opened in March this year though. Apparently they never plan on releasing it on home video because it was created as theatrical experience. (Translation: The own a cinema, and they're an animation studio, so they want to have something exclusive for fans who travel all the way there to watch something.)
