Are you joking? I mean it wouldn't be a very funny joke under any pretenses, but this looks nothing like the Hyouka school, and I don't remember the K-on school at all.

School Festival arc is one of the most overrated things I've ever watched. What makes the show so hard to watch, Mayaka and Fukube being emo as shit is stronger than ever in those episodes.

But the episodes that follow have like no Mayaka and Fukube and thus are the best episodes in the entire series. I haven't watched 21 yet. I might honestly just skip it because I don't want to see those 2 characters ever again.

Giving up on the show was the right call.

I shelved this series last season at about episode 8 or 9 but I really remember falling in love with Muginami <3 Does she still have silly puddy for bones? I love the sonds they make when she moves awkwardly in a scene... so damn cute.

Im not saying the school looks the same, im saying the setting is one they have been doing repeatedly.

Hyouka: school club

maybe thats why they decided to animate some of Full Metal Panic

The elder
lays out the basis for the Day of Flight
and the speculated wishes of those born under its principles. I was impressed with how the show transitioned from Reki speaking with the elder about
how she was not jealous of Rakka moving forward to her trying to keep Rakka from the responsibilities of a Haibane (going to the temple as punishment for touch thing the wall).

More amusing yet, is that it ends up being a
job
for Rakka! Even stronger a case for her moving forward as a Haibane.



In any case, good episode with a direction I can get behind. I know that this episode largely focused on Reki, but I wouldn't mind a little more info in regards to her past with the Abandoned Factory in the next episode. Even if this isn't the case, I'm hopeful that the last few episodes will utilize their concentration effectively.

That's actually about where it should "normally" be, I'd guess. Volume 2 also only sold 3,239 in its first week. Volume 1 only sold bigger numbers than usual because it was sold at a discount.
They're doing the same thing with Moyashimon Returns, too; the volume that barely charted this week is almost 2000 yen cheaper than normal. So if you thought its numbers were bad now...

Given the nature of vampires and the usual analogy with old-school European aristocracy, I don't think adding an incest subtext to a vampire story would be much of a stretch.

It's unfortunate, but I don't think there's any market for it. From what I understand the only reason Time of Eve even exists is because a group of animators decided to make it of their own volition.
