I've read Alicization and it's extremely hard for me to care about it. Granted I've only read Alicization Beginning but the pace is so slow and somewhat boring that it's just.... ugh.

It's true that the arc is pretty slow in terms of pacing compared to previous SAO arcs. If you couldn't handle the pacing of Book 9, you'd probably hate the latter half of Book 10, which is very low-key. Personally I think it's worth it as buildup to the shit that goes down in Book 11, but you may not agree. Personally, I find that the world is very easy to get absorbed in, though, so even when there wasn't much exciting happening, the pacing never really bothered me.

My main problem isn't the premise or the ideas behind Alicization. In fact, I like it a lot. It's the pacing and execution that I have a problem with. I just can't really find myself trotting through it. =/

not a chance ...as i said before , every girl will fall for kirito before realising that asuna is there and then they will back down ... it has happenned and it will happen time & time again. kirito swag can't be stopped.
Anime is covert
American Live action and live performances are overt.
the audiences are the same with major societal differences
they want women the same three ways...retarded-submissive, perverted to the nth degree or virginal and frigid.
Its the same as it ever was, but now its gotten just a bit worse.
there is a reason why im a Lich Disciple... the day comes when mankind will laugh at its own demise and ill just watch as it reigns over nothing but a steaming pile of its own blood, bones and aids ridden semen over a world that has been sinkholed to oblivion

I actually agree . as i said before up there the arc get better the more you know about the world , the odds , the dangers it certainly started slow but when thing started , they started.
i would admit that the last part of book 10 was such a RAGE moment ..damn angry i was
Perhaps now I'll just catch up on Majestic Prince while I wait for Attack on Titan to progress further. I would enjoy the latter a whole lot more if it wasn't for the rather dreadful pacing.
I think the bad pacing got me out of AoT and I just can't get back in. The first several episodes of the show had me so hyped, and then that awful stretch of 8-13 just sort of shattered the glass. Now I just watch and see more and more awful things. The endless drawing out of situations, the constantly showing unimportant sidecharacters restating (or reasking) the same thing six times, the false cliffhangers, all of that compounded with the fact that the actual plot itself is like "oh did you think we'd explain something today? HAHAHA." just really kills it for me.
Like, it's gonna be another 50 episodes before they reach Eren's house, and when they do, it'll be three more before they go into his basement, all of which will be filled with characters asking "what's in the box? Do you know what is in the box? I don't know what is in the box? WHAT'S IN THE BOOOOOOOOX?" and then, when the basement is opened nothing will be explained and the stick will pull the carrot further away.
For all my complaints regarding MJP, it's at least moving along. These last few episodes especially have had some good fights and kept the plot a walkin', and whether I like the answers or not, I expect I'll get them by the end of the show.
Really right now I'm just trying to decide if Attack on Titan is a worse show than E7AO and PFoR or not. I'm leaning toward it is, because at least those shows were well animated.

I told myself I wouldn't watch it. I forced myself not to watch it. So why am I watching this? Well because now that I think about it after watching Gurren Lagann, my reasons for not watching it weren't exactly very good reasons.
One of those reasons being that this show apparently barely gives any screen time to major characters from the first season. This is something I despise in any anime, but I guess I could tolerate it if they didn't do it to the whole cast.
The other reason being that it goes through a massive time-skip and now that all the characters are aged, I was worried of the show losing the cute atmosphere it had in the last two seasons. I'm giving this a shot because hey, I gave Gurren Lagann
a shot after it's time-skip, and we all know how things took off from there.
So I might as well do the same here.
So how was this first episode? Ehhhh....It was okay. Nanoha is still awesome, and it only makes sense that her fan girl would copy one of her signature moves. It's already a step below A's, as nothing interesting has happened right off the bat.
But I've already been told that this is a step below A's. But I've also heard that it's a step above the first season, so I might as well continue on.

I'm glad they made an episode that didn't involve any crazy dark stuff this time around and instead focused on a lighter subject. I was pretty surprised by how things went this time around given the other crazy stuff that happened in this show.
I like what they did with the title being "Land of Wizards" for this episode. It was good how they made the accomplishment of that woman seem like magic to Kino, and thus making her a wizard.
Bodacious Space Pirates/Moretsu Pirates Episode 18: Well now, I am rather of two minds about this episode, on the one hand it was high octane fun and this episode really did deliver on the trilling adventures one expects Space Pirates to have. On the other hand I can't ignored the really, really, really terrible writing, coupled with odd pacing issues and
the fact that somehow this turned into Triumph of the Will and then Scooby-Doo, I confusingly applaud them for doing that.
Also, I officially want to see a spin-off series starring Jenny in her Post-College years since the foundations lain make it seem so very interesting. Also, it is confirmed that Chiaki needs to get laid, like big time.

Also chiaki well , at least has a job to vent her anger if she needs to.
----------------- Shin sekai yori - 01
So i've restarted this anime , because last time i didn't go past episode 1 , so this was more to get everything back in a corner of my mind for the next episodes.
So unless i'm mistaken , humanity changed because human got to use the cursed power , 1000 years later a group of childhood friends are dealing with their issues at school that's it ?
Ok i can watch the rest now... from all the praise i heard about last year this better NOT disapoint.
We sure are blazing through these Standard Summer Activities, aren't we? Last episode we had the ghost stories, the episode before that we had the beachside training camp, and this episode it's the good old summer festival!
Gotta mix things up a little bit, though, so instead of just visiting the summer festival like common folk, the girls are helping Komachi set up her own stall. The plan: sell some kakigoori (shaved ice) with as many delicious toppings from Komachi's wagashi store as they can possibly pile on. What could possibly go wrong?!
Well, if a random toad-boy decides on a whim to eat your entire supply of ice to fill his perpetually-empty stomach, that might throw off the plan a little bit. Now we're left with all toppings and no ice - and try as she might, Komachi can't find a new supply of ice in time for the festival. Have all the girls' efforts been for naught?! Will the kakigoori stand be a failure before it has even begun?!
It's at this point that the show remembers "hang on, we can't have a Komachi focus story, she already showed off her new attack a couple of episodes ago!" So they hurriedly throw in a flashback about how Karen and Komachi first met, and how Komachi was there to encourage Karen when she really needed it. So now Karen wants to encourage Komachi not to give up! See, we can totally turn this thing around and make it a Karen focus episode! It's flawless!
So the girls get together and think what they can do with all these toppings and no ice. Until finally, they hit upon the idea of making sweet treats by combining the toppings with the selection of fresh satsumas that they handily happen to have lying around. (How handy!)
And from there on out, the episode goes exactly as you might expect. Komachi's enticing new sweet treats are a smashing success, and the only thing that threatens to ruin the festival is a brief attack from toad-boy, who summons the Kowaina pictured above, only for Karen to get all indignant about him getting in the way of Komachi's precious festival endeavours and blast the Kowaina into oblivion with her new PRECURE AQUA TORNADO! See, totally a Karen focus episode. Sort of. Maybe. Ish.

I'm basically watching so I'm up-to-date for when the 2nd season comes out. Hopefully S2 isn't plagued with all the bullshit this one was. The writing will still be positively atrocious, though.
Turn A Gundam 27
Lots of good mech fighting going on here, with Loran grabbing a WaD by its spine and severing it from its legs. What I find impressive is that, regardless of the series or continuity, in universes populated by giant, laser shooting robots,
nuclear weapons always remain a big deal in Gundam. It was especially interesting that they remained such in SEED and Destiny when a single Gundam had so much more destructive power than a nuke.
Anyway, I really don't think
Gavane made it out of that alive.
And now we have to give our respecks to CAP'N Harry.
Seriously, the more I think about it the more I want that show. Yes, a program featuring a female space pirate captain who is also a captain of industry; indeed while juggling her own upstart transportation company is engaged in epic political struggles with her corrupt uncle
and fighting along side is her super hacker lesbian lover.

BUt yeah awesome in the only word i can find , especially if she manage to recuit "talented people" into her crew ( from the yatch club , but older ? ) all for a maximum effect.
For now i'd just worry that the bodacious movie will do well , so they can think ( maybe ) of doing more marika
So the competition ended on a draw ... it felt quite unsatisfactory and i can see how the main characters had a hard time accepting that ...
Now it's clear that this society has too many secrets behind it.
2 people just dropped from school , and nobody even talk about it ?
And why do i feel that those creatures will be a key piece of the story later ?
Well this was a nice episode to watch ... overall good character dynamics , some flashback to increase the world building and good animation .. Well done.
ps : and what the heck was that emperor killing his populace for not clapping enough the day he goes into power ....WTF ?
There is none; both characters just advance and that next round match will have one more participant than usual. Just like how there were a bunch of preliminary round ties which resulted in a handful of four-person round 1 matches.
Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East Episode 21 Spirited Away
Shinobu is a great addition to the cast and better enhanced by sounding like Nagisa Hazuki (Free!), so instant win. Like his interactions with Shino in the whole thing as well as with Akihiko. I do hope he has a larger role in the plot.
For the episode
cried a whole bunch at the end. I guess the mother knew what had happened and came home just in time but then the dust and the revealing scene. When the dad had got all excited that he spoke too I was already teary eyed from joy. Powerful story.
