Seriously , they are all extra great.
The first season sold an average 4-5k per volume while the 2nd season went up to 7-8k per volume. The OVA thingy (was it?) Rozen Maiden overture was 10k first week.
It was clearly because it lacked the -desu.

I hope Free! will be this seasons big winner as big as UtaPri s1 or 30K please, so they will be more compelled to do a second season with Rin on the team LD

Happens fairly often. They both look great in cat ears too. Its like anime knows exactly how to pander to me sometimes.
On the one hand, I want good KyoAni productions to do well. On the other hand, BL is really not my thing.
Free! doesn't have the feeling of a runaway freight train fujoshi support that Kuroko or UtaPri has/had but the sales of Vol. 1 hasn't even started yet so what do I know.
