Poor Tomoko.
Not as impressive as the first episode, but still fun. I still can't get over the OP.
They're adapting it seemingly frame for frame though.

I read somewhere that someone describe the Watamote OP as "deathcore". As a metalhead, I cringed at how off they were on the genre :lol

Otaku no Video is about otaku culture in general, not just airsoft stuff. In fact, there's only like five minutes of airsoft otaku in both episodes.

Yuu's boyfriend troubles go to the shitter so she can swear off them and end up developing a relationship with Tomoko.

Tomoko's grim nature being enveloped by Yuu's warm personality sounds so appealing that it's just begging to be shipped. Here's hoping we get to see more of her friend in the future.

Wouldn't be surprised if you see some material retread. That OVA is like series highlights of sorts in that it creates its own story based around these highpoints but it worked well enough. I think the first episode of the OVA is direct homage to the first ep of the tv series.

If you want to see the OVA in some kind of appropriate chronological order, now is a decent time to watch. Or you can save it for the end, and try to use it to make up in a tiny way for the ending.
