I believe I brought up this anime last week, but it's pretty interesting. It's essentially an anime music video with Phil Collins music. Look at how glorious Siva is. Look. Upon seeing his great dance moves, men are full of envious rage, and women are pregnant.

The Devil is a Part-Timer 3
Emi > Chi.
Satan's kind of sort of a super chill guy. I mean, Emi and Alsiel get hella worked up, but he's pretty chill about like, everything. And as of this episode, he has also triggered beefcake mode. Probably the least intimidating version of the devil I've seen in anime in awhile.
Also, Emi giving Lina Inverse's small breast rant was nice. I love that this show references fantasy anime all the time.
the eccentric family - 01
Quite a break away from the usual fare for the studio, and a good break at that, with some great lighting and colorwork. Most visually appealing show this season, for sure, and even my reservations about those weird snake-nostrils disappeared after a few minutes. I do wish the Kumeta designs were preserved a bit more, but they're distinct enough in moments of shock, I guess.
As for the episode proper, this was well-directed--some nice flourishes rounding out a good intro to this setting and the characters. I wonder how much of the dialogue is taken from the novel, because it has a similar feel and flow to the stuff that was in Tatami Galaxy. There's a nice cadence to it, in how the back-and-forth chatter has meaning beyond simple exposition and how the rhythm of conversation ebbs and flows according to the needs of the moment.
Basically, I really liked it. Good stuff.

For some reason, I don't completely hate this show. It's stupid enough to know it's stupid, and the tsundere antics are taken almost as something that has to happen because of nerds, rather than something to be necessarily celebrated. The quite obvious and cheap ploy/cliffhanger at the end makes me want to watch the next one anyway.

As I understood it, the villagers were already dead (IIRC, in the first episode there's a comment about an odd smell from the woman who took care of the girl), and they explained in this episode why they need to put dead people to rest. It seems like their personality starts deteriorating after a while, and they become egocentric and envious of the living, even if their body and personality are seemingly intact initially.
Also, he seems to be actually alive, unlike the people who keep moving after dying.
It's p. funny seeing certain posters still miss the point of 7th's posts in the Bechdel test thread from a while ago.

Majestic Prince - Episode 11
The mission in this episode was relatively interesting, but like most of the series at large the execution is a bit lacking. It's presented in a way where it seems a lot less exciting than it should be, but the action was still pretty good where it counted. The character art continues to be ugly but charming at the same time. Stockholm syndrome, etc.

I actually enjoyed this episode way more than I should have. It was really, REALLY ugly, and the entire episode was devoid of any CG action whatsoever. 100% Hirai faces 100% of the time. But yet it felt pretty fun and I love propaganda comedy. The car sequence was really wacky too. It was ugly as hell, but there were some.... interesting... effects in the tunnel. Lol. In terms of comedy, this episode is probably the closest to the series actually succeeding in that aspect so far.

New arc, new character, new mech. The second half of the series is off to a good start. I wonder how long they're going to keep this "is the new character male or female" gag going, but it's actually making the character relationships more interesting than usual. Not that it takes a lot to make it more interesting from the norm though.
Some pretty awesome action in this episode, and they're doing a good job showing off the new mech. Despite being a not-so-good-anime, I think MJP could make for a pretty good mecha action game in the right hands. The series sure has a lot of variety in terms of mechs, enemies, and even different stages.

It's good. Art style takes a minute to get used to, but it is good.

Not sure what you mean about harassment(?) of prep schoolers(??), but lolis are the greatest thing known to man, and brother-sister incest in fiction is usually pretty hawt. I don't see anything pathetic about that. If anything, pathetic would be giving into societal pressure and pretending that I don't like the things that I like. *shrugs*

ahhh, so he's the one behind the glowing eye trails during the fights lol. More than any particular bit of animation, though, I think the camerawork made the fights.
