I completely agree. It was very cool and something I felt would've been really cool to see animated and voice acted. Pretty disappointing.

The Chapters God Speeds Through 02

Did you know this episode went through 10 chapters of the manga. It almost basically covered all of volume 13. Where the hell was this pace when we were going through the normal conquests.

Beyond that, I guess they can probably cover Yui's and Tsukiko's conquests through more flashbacks now.

I'm gonna assume they gonna slow down for the Ayumi/Chihiro conquest. That shit is too dramatic to be fast paced.

Christ they are just blowing through this arc. That was like an entire volume packed into an episode. At least we got to see Yui being awesome.

Would not be surprised if that takes up 4 or more episodes alone.

Don't really mind since they'll be showing best girl in
her wedding dress
at the end.

That was certainly interesting. Between looking at the design changes for the actual series and noting some substantial changes in direction between the two it's an interesting piece of work. For example,
Notice how the witches base is built on a stone monument and arranged to channel magic.
the base itself also looks completely different and there are several other things that work differently in this pilot universe. Have some proto-perrine :cajun

The first half of the OVA also features some stand-out mechanical animation and a decent Itano circus scene. Kinda puts large parts of the actual series to shame.

The second half of the OVA was more of a science short explaining aspects of the series. And was EXTREMELY similar to the Gunbuster science shorts to an alarming rate. Including coachi punishment. No hard works and guts though but you get the coach's shtick instead. The OVA has plenty of Minna Ara ara too and perrine being awesome. It also comes complete with a witch size chart and dialogue that would make chet proud.

It's so grounded, but so fun to watch. The anime seems to be doing the material better than the manga atm.

Man Full Metal Panic has kinda stuck with me so I started the Sigma manga to get some more.
Started out really disliking Kaname and thinking she was annoying during the first season
but she really grew on me, might be one of my top 10 favorite female characters now.

Sigma didn't really do much for me, for some reason. I wanted to love it too.

Most I've talked to about it don't feel the same, so don't worry. ;)

It just didn't strike me the way that TSR did, cause, like you, I was more than hyped after the cliffhanger that was that third season. Dunno why.

Won't be satisfied unless triana get adapted in anime ..i hope the fans will support the anime because we need more..
