One day I need to go back and finish (or rewatch really) Nana. It got way too teen soapish for my taste at the time, but I wonder if I'd like it better now.

That is the only statement I can agree with here, but I can can remember being pretty touched by the love triangle story and the "childhood friend"

Overall, it was relly well done with a lot of emotion build in. ToMelodies was ok and the tie-ins were kinda cute, but the story were just so so, I mean, the 30+ year old muscisian and the high school girl, really?

Im nearing the end of Etotama, and it has been a really fun ride. I dont get the disdain for this series. Its kind of crazy with its pacing sure, but the CG looks good and the characters are adorable and the fights are epic. Its so colorful and whimsical and just charming beyond belief.

Wow Dad and Light scene was so insane and intense in the live action format, I almost actually believed that he would really kill him, and that line, can he get anymore cooler than that, mindblown.

But I dont remember Near being involved this early in the series, why would he be looking at Light too at this point in time and in the same hotel.

I'm with you here. If the show tried to take itself too seriously, then I could see the hate, however, the it never gets serious like that and keeps the crazy and frantic moments fun and entertaining. One of my favs last season just because it always managed to put a smile on my face wach week.

i absolutely agree . etotama is just fun

The fights are good and the music excellent.
too bad they didn't give snake the treatment she deserved ( come on, at least a curry cooking battle !! )

darn I thought Ibuki wouldnt do it but he really did. Why Hien have to be so obsessed with throwing his life away to act like a Returned One, and of course the dragon is not in belief that that was an equivalent exchange. What a waste

This is more or less what I thought of the finale. Complete waste of the show's potential for more and more pink wank. At least the others contributed a little in the DokiDoki finale. Meanwhile, the international Cures may as well have not existed. One filler episode and they did nothing else. To think they had something special. I have similar thoughts about the movie actually. Potential for something great, but it's squandered by a few obvious mistakes.

Aoi has officially become a teacher. This is more or less what I was expecting honestly. Akari sure is persistent. She should probably get over her cliff obsession if she wants to get over her Ichigo obsession. Sena is okay, but if he's as important as the op suggests he will be I'm not looking forward to repeated appearances from him. Nice dress though. The water and reflection effects in the dance were very nice touches. While the CG's quality jump isn't as noticeable as the season 1-2 transition, I can still see it sometimes.

Yuki staring close range at Miki as she's waking up is nightmare material for me. Stuff like that freaks me out.
Damn that radio slowly dying in tune with the conversation, along with the close ups and heartbeats was creepy. And well executed. I half expected Yuki to stab her in psycho mode.

I think what this episode revealed should've been done sooner. It has been pretty obvious for a while. Curious to see what is up next. Nice ED change, along with the fade-outs.

I don't know about the others but Sailor Moon is indeed shiiiiiiiiiiit. And it's something I've been vaguely aware even as a six year old.

I don't agree with you on your hatred of Jojo and Super Robots, but if there's one romance anime I really enjoy, it's ef a tale of memories.

Melodies I don't like though because of its lack of Renji and Chihiro cuteness. :p

The dokidoki finale was the culmination of something that was presented, explained and forshadowed since the very first episodes. That's why despite everything that happenned it works. my problem is the freaking tone change in hapcha..

hapcha did the same without any forshadowing or justification.

2017 is good since it does give them a lot of time to work on it before airing, but still waiting for key staff and voice actor announcements. I can't reasonably expect this to be anywhere near as good as the original adaptation, but I can at least hope it does turns out good.

Miki gets to integrate into the cast. They have an odd way of surviving, but it's not like they have anything better to do. They're not fighting to survive every minute, so there's nothing wrong with having some fun and trying to actually live. Also, some confirmation of Megu-nee's status, not that it wasn't obvious already. You'd think Yuki speaking to all these imaginary people would be creepier, but apparently not.

I wouldn't be surprised if the production committee was assembled recently, which is why they can say Production IG is working on it (since they'll be on the committee). Main staff may not have agreed/signed contracts yet or are being sought after at this point. That's what makes most sense to me given the timeframes.

I mean soul crushing or not, there's plenty comedy in there and it works quite well. There's some pretty funreactions and reaction faces, too.

Kare Kano gets really heavy at times, too, but as long as you aren't looking for a lighthearted RomCom I'd say either are recommendable just fine.
