Truth. At least that show was funny.

I haven't watched Darkness (yet), but Motto is a lot better than the first season. The gags are still stupid, but they cut the fat and aren't as stupid. And the artwork is just soooo much better than season 1.

Looking forward to finishing off this surprisingly decent season.

Maybe.MGSV TPP > anime.
No. If you aren't into the franchise at this point, it's hard to get into it at this point. I'm forcing myself to get into MGS with this game to see what the big deal is. Only played MGS1 and Rising before this.
it's 5 games actually. MGSV is a sequel to Peace WalkerSölf;177307997 said:I would actually like to get into it, but I haven't played any of the other games. And I am that type of gamer, if the story of a game series continues with each game (like here) I actually want to play the other games before. But then thinking of having to play through 4 games to actually get to play the current one... no thanks. Maybe someday.

Maybe.
Danganronpa:AE > MGSV though. And yes these are all anime lmfao.
Danganronpa:AE
I'm actually having a blast shooting Monokumas in their red eye lol. In terms of presentation, cutscenes, story, mood, right off the bat I think this game is superior to 1 and 2. Sure people hold 1 to great esteem since it gave us that shock factor, but AE is a step forward in all fronts. As a matter of fact, I would love it if they used this engine for DR3. We wouldn't need to shoot anyone but having these nice cutscenes and 3D models rather than the cut-outs (which were pretty stylish and all), I'd be all in. The game is a looker too, pushes the system to its limits.I want to say this as well, but dear god the gameplay of DR:AE is holding it back.
If you plan on experiencing the game, even if only through a Let's Play, I'd say that's the way to go. The anime, although not bad, is shortened severely, omits a whole bunch of the story due to episode length constraints, and will rob you of the experience that the game gives you.Sölf;177308300 said:I somehow have to get my hands on a Vita so I can actually start playing this series. I even dropped the anime after 2 or 3 episodes to play the games back when it was current.
don't trust those people, PW is a great game. It's way better than 4.You could just get away with MGS3 -> PW (which according to a recent GAF thread you might as well just read the story for) -> MGSV since that's the Big Boss saga.
Xebec aren't gods because they didn't give us a Kanokon sequel.
But Takeda Hiromitsu didn't give us Maken-ki doujins or any doujins for that matter since he got famous. But they did provide us glorious Maken-ki and those OVAs, I can forgive them.

I'm happy that I went into completely blind. So far it's been nothing but a joy to see the character interactions. I'm only on chapter 1 with 4hrs of playtime, I'm sure that I am in for a crazy ride. The shooting isn't anything revolutionary yeah, it's fun enough for me though. Genocide Mode is a blast too.The graphics for a Vita game a pretty damn good, I'll give it that. So is the plot and characters. I can't go into that without going into spoilers though. It's just I feel the shooting mechanics are mediocre. Not bad at all, just don't stand out and feel like a stiffer version of RE4 and every third person shooter made after it. Other than that, the presentation is fine (excluding no subtitles during cutscenes, which there are a decent amount of).
The price of fame sometimes. But Takeda Hiromitsu didn't give us Maken-ki doujins or any doujins for that matter since he got famous.
Well I've only play 1-3 since I don't have a PS3 and judging from Konami's current situation a PS4 port of MGS4 is unlikely to happen any time soon so I guess I'll be MGS4less for a while since with every new port to the PS4 the PS3 looks less and less attractive to get now.
Of course they do this after the season has started. I don't know if watch it yet, I mean, TLR was entertaining, however, is there anything redeeming about TLR outside of t&a and sexual agnst?
MGSV TPP > anime.
I feel bad, all this MGS talk and I bought MGS4 right after launch and it's still sitting wrapped in plastic on my shelf. I spent waaay too much time play Resistance 1-2, then Killzone 2 back in the day. I mean, clan wars, MLG, recruiting, man, good times, but soooo much time wasted and I had to miss out on playing so many games, lol.
Why do people gave shit to MGS4? Sure story sucks because nanomachines but the gameplay is awesome and varied like mech fights, motorcycle chase and Solid vs Ocelot CQC brawler.
About To Love-Ru on Crunchyroll, is it the uncensored version? I never watched it, but if it's there, might as well.
