I read the last 6 pages on the bus, made me pretty sick (motion sickness, not the content).
But yeah, waifu wars are fine and all, but they are just super unproductive and when I get the natural urge to shove my favorite characters in your faces, It's like I'm scared to join in for fear of everything I know and love being torn down around me via dissection.

I don't really visit the thread more than once in a blue moon anymore, but to throw in my two cents here, even if something is done as a joke it can still be off-putting if it dominates the conversation a lot of the time.
Speaking of which I actually showed up this time because Liam and Pat talking about it has gotten me deep into the hunting action genre of games. After several failed attempts with previous Monster Hunter games I've been enjoying 3U a lot. And just purchased a PSTV along with Freedom Wars. Planning to jump into Souls Sacrifice Delta as soon as my memory card arrives. I may use this opportunity to finally give Persona a fair shake too.

I think the main issue with the whole waifu war/lewdGAF thing is that a lot of times a legit conversation about a game or anime is taking place and it devolves into who's best waifu or the most borderline lewd fanart that can be found, which basically cuts out the opportunity to continue a serious discussion (and cuts people like me out of the convo)

GAF couldn't handle Plague's girth. He's too HUGE!!!!!! for GAF.

All it really needed was some game footage playing, which I assume was a limitation of his hardware or rendering software.
I think I liked Pat's the most, but just because it mostly matched my opinions, while still being analytical.

I know Pat definitely gives him shit for liking Destiny.
I wish I knew more stuff about Liam other than him being labeled as the anime guy.
I do know that he is big on the indies and hates what Squeenix is doing to FF Type-0.
I also know that he is the most vocal when there is something he has a strong passion for.
It encapsulated Liam in a nutshell: All substance with minimalist style.

I couldn't finish part 5 of their top tens. When it basically became a podcast I backed down. I'll probably go back and listen to it later while I do homework later this week.

Maybe cutting gameplay footage into the video would've been a great idea in retrospect, but his top 10 was the only one that went in-depth into each game.
It was really enjoyable honestly, but yeah you could just listen to it while doing whatever
But it's a video. There needs to be something to watch, not just listen to. Which is why Pat's was my favorite, because he took a serious approach and gave good commentary about the game but he had great game footage as well (the DP part was hilarious).
Also him singing was rad
If Liam's had gameplay footage, it would've been more well rounded.

I don't think Liam or any of the other zaibatsu members besides Pat will post in here. They seem to all have their own section to handle. Matt has SA, Pat has GAF, Woolie has Reddit, and Liam has 4chan.
The lack of gameplay footage didn't really bother me. I just put the video and background and did other stuff. Much like a podcast.
That screentearing was off the charts, I don't remember it being that bad, maybe I should replay it and see for myself

We probably overhyped it being bad. It's not terrible, it's just occasionally frustrating. Using a guide for directions helps a lot.
Never got a move, but I remember the PS3 equivalent to Wii Sports (IDK the title) had a super fun game with swords with the move. It was way better than Wii Sport's fencing or kendo.
