That only happens to me, when I hook my HDMI cable through the motherboard. If that's not the case, maybe check if the aspect ratio is correct.

Well if your monitor is 16:10 then running a game at 1600X900 would be a 16:9 ratio so try setting the resolution to a 16:10 one? I don't know how else to help.
