I'm sorry. This gave me a chuckle. That sucks a lot. Especially with the red box rental.
Wow you are just not having any luck with this at all lol
Haha at least I got a few free Redbox codes.
Doesn't the first edition PS3 TE have issues on PC? If you ever plan to play on that maybe send it back.
I only have a PS4 so I won't be needing a PC compatible stick.
Anyway, I found a legit copy of Mortal Kombat X at a different Redbox. I tested the stick and all the buttons seems to work fine. However, I am a tad concerned about the input lag. I have never used an arcade stick before so maybe they're all like this, but the TE is delayed a hair longer than my Dualshock 4. I would think a wired connection would have less delay? But as I said I'm not really sure what to expect from an arcade stick.
It's not in terrible condition, but I wish it was better. There's a lot of scuffs and marks and one of the plexi screws is missing. Is the cable door of the TE supposed to *click* shut? Either this one is broken (because it doesn't really lock in place) or they're just built that way.
That said, I did only pay $60 for it. I really like the overall feel of this stick. Honestly if I knew that all sticks have lag similar to this one I would heavily consider keeping it.
So my current situation right now is:
-A scuffed up used PS3 Madcatz TE stick (with slight input lag??)
-An unopened Venom PS4 stick with a new set of Sanwa buttons and a joystick
-A Madcatz Street Fighter V TES+ PS4 on order from Newegg
I spoke to Newegg and they said they were shortened by Madcatz on the number of orders they put in, but they could be receiving another shipment in the next day or two. So if I don't hear from Newegg by Wednesday on whether my order will be fulfilled I think I'm going to cancel it and just deal with the other two.
The Madcatz PS3 TE probably has better build quality and I wouldn't have to do any modding, but it has limited functionality and it's not in great shape. The Venom has full PS4 functionality but I'll have to mod it and it costs roughly3x as much as the $60 Madcatz when all parts are considered. Does anyone have the dimensions of the Venom stick by any chance? I would like to compare the size to the Madcatz.
Hmm.
