Just watched the movie (documentary actually) yesterday.

It's rather alarming to find just how FAT America iz becoming. According to the film, we'll eventually be able to publicly humiliate fast food eaters and drug addicts alike. Not that i would, but i do see a lot of fat people go out to eat at my local chains...

Better get out that DDR mat now:)

Stopped me from eating fast food for months after that. Still eating healthy-ish now and having fast food at the most once a month. Very good documentary -it achieved its goal :) .

i personally thought it was more self righteous that farenheit 9-11.....and I still dont get why you would eat fastfood for 30 days, thats just rediculous im sorry...

Please don't use this movie to soapbox about how Americans have a weight problem. It should be really fucking obvious that if you eat ANYTHING, let alone fast food non-stop for a month you're going to have adverse medical symptoms, and most people (even obese ones) don't eat like that

oh please. Some people need a reminder.

I though SSM was better than F911 - more insightful although the dude did come across as being rather calculating when he did his feature. I liked the bits where he went into the school system - that was rather alarming imo. F911 was a bit fat-fetched/conspiritorial for my liking.

I've been meaning to watch that, but every time I go to rent it some Chinese dude jumps in my car and starts telling jokes :(

like f9-11 it had its strong points. I agree with you when some of those school lunch choices were rather alarming - a big WTF from me when I saw those lunch choices given to kids. (I would pull my kids so fast out of a school that served those government subsidized lunches) But he freakin ordered supersized at practically every meal. And of course everything has sugar in it. Carbohydrates ARE sugar.

I stopped eating at McDonald's regularly after watching the movie (it's not like I'm fat or anything....I'm 149 lbs. at 5'11").

But the void was filled with more Wendy's. :)

:lol :lol

throw the guy the fuck out . youve got to man up son.

This little movie has actually changed many people's lives. I've overheard various people in movie lines, restaurants, etc. talking about it, "Wow I saw this movie and it really made me want to change."

It's pretty cool that a low budget affair like that could shake up a muli-billion dollar industry.

You be surprised at how many people eat fast food twice or more a day. A Japanese guy at work here had "Mac" twice a day without fail until he got married. He's pretty skinny, but still, couldn't have been very good for him.

All sugar are carbs, but not all carbs are sugar.

And he only chose Supersize if he was asked to.

Working in fast food I was surprised to find out how many people eat the stuff every day of the week. I work at a McDonald's in a mall food court, so we get tons of regulars that work at other places in the mall. There's this big fat guy from the Disney Store who gets a large double quarter pounder meal just about every day, sometimes I wonder if I should play bartender and say "I think you've had enough, sir."

I worry about my own health working there, too. I mean, it's free food, and even though there's plenty of other places in the food court I could get free stuff it's all shit too. I should start packing a lunch or something, but I'm just too lazy.

Didn't he get his idea after seeing the response from the mcd's lawyers about how eating it for breakfast, lunch and dinner would be without adverse side effects?

Ive not watched the documentary, but I dont eat Mcdonalds or any other fast food (apart from Pizza, I cant bloody resist it) The only thing i eat from mcdonalds are their salads.

Its actually amazing what Mcdonalds can do to you. As mentioned before, Ive not watched the documentary, but just looking at the people of America is a more accurate result:P
