Maybe it's just the mobile version of that site, but it sucks so hard. Instead of just loading the GIF it loads the i.minus site first and then you can watch a spinning circle for a minute until it starts to play the GIF. Sloooooo....ooooo....wly.

Ehh.. I was on my phone when he posted that .gif and I didn't have any problem
And I just checked with my iPad.. no problem.

same here but its only the mobile version for me

if youre on an android device just changed the setting to "request the desktop site" and it will load the gif fine
 
If there's a Nintendo Direct soon-ish I have a feeling if there's a newcomer reveal it'll be Dixie Kong. I like her, but I doubt she'd be considered a big enough deal to have as an E3 conference. Alternatively it could be Mac I guess (didn't the original Punch-Out!! come out in February?) or a Snake trailer similar to Sonic's.

When is Yoshi 3DS out? I need Yoshi! I'm actually surprised that he wasn't announced straight away.
My main question, do you think we'll know about every character before launch? I don't think so, it might get interesting!

We get it March 14th. Japan isn't dated though.

I highly doubt that we'll know about every character before launch.. I reckon that most of the new ones will remain unknown until launch. Sakurai can't be oblivious to the massive disappointment with Brawl when practically everything was known by launch.

Captain N. Most other characters that you could think of have at least some chance of happening without hypothetical intervention, so I'm going with 1 that's doomed otherwise.

We just need to hope Sakurai doesn't like High Heels. He used a modified version of Prime 3's ZSS for Super Metroid Samus. He might do the same for SSB4. If Sakurai doesn't see Samus as someone wearing heels she won't wear any.
 
So, while browsing through an imgur of all the POTDs. I kinda noticed how Rosalina was the next character to be revealed after the SMG stage was shown.

Now, more stages were shown between that, but none that would have any newcomers attatched to them. Makes me kinda hope it's some kind of subtle hint that Palutena is going to be revealed.

Or maybe I'm just reading too much into things.

Huh... Mario Kart?

The main issue with Brawl regarding rankings was Sakurai. From the beginning of the development he talked about how there'd be no rankings since he thought it'd discourage lower ranked people from playing. Although, with Brawl's horrible online code, it's not like rankings would have added much to the game.

On the other hand, this time he hasn't said anything, so maybe there's a chance he'll change his position.

Samus' suit in Brawl was actually based on the Zero Mission design. There are a few extra lights compared to Super Metroid's. I'm not sure about the ZSS model though.

I'll need a source for this. In the Developer Direct he states Samus design so far has been based on Super Metroid (2:09 in the Developer Direct).

More so than the heels, I hate that Other M Samus's zero suit doesn't have any texture to it. So it just looks like spandex rather than a futuristic bodysuit.

In that regard the figma is actually better because they did give it some texture.

well
we've already established that not having rankings does nothing for the game, and only makes matches featuring huge disparities in skill levels more likely
I mean if Sakurai's really scared of that, he could just make the rankings hidden
 
For what it's worth, we've also got Mario Party releasing in Japan on March 20th, so that's always a possibility for Wario (or Yoshi).
