Aside from the crew dialogue, Halberd wasn't exactly sunshine and rainbows in KSS either.

But I'm sure we'll get an Epic Yarn stage to make up for that.

Right... because the Subspace army stole it from Meta Knight. It's just another character. That's like thinking that ROB and Mr Game & Watch and hell every character in Brawl belongs to SSE because they took part in it :P

SSE was honestly terrible enough to ruin those things by association.

Nah, even when seeing stuff like the streets Onett car combo assist match Ive seen these guys commentate really well.

Speaking of which, do you guys think that after this Smash Invitational, Nintendo might start actively supporting/hosting tournaments that are a little more competitive (this is meant to be part publicity as a new Smash game is coming out)

I would imagine they might still have different rules, based on VGC vs Smogon, but still
 
I am going to agree that I was kinda disappointed all those chipper, cheerful Kirby songs were relegated to a fairly somber, dreary stage.

It was a good stage. It just didn't mesh with some of the tracks chosen ("Butter Building" and especially "Nature Area", specifically).
 
Butter Building's guitar really helped it gel with the stage, IMO. Probably my favorite Brawl arrangement for the Kirby series (except for maybe The Legendary Air Ride Machine).

One of the things I like about Kirby is the juxtaposition of colorful/jolly with dark/scary shit, though.

He'll also be the one to say things like "Ready... begin!" or "The winners of this match are [name] and [other name]. Too bad, [third name] and [final name]." However, once the matches have begun proper, it's D1 and Prog from the instant the in-game announcer says "Go!" to a few moments after he says "Game!".

(*Well, not the 16 best, but 16 of the best is still true...)

I am always up for teaching passionate people the ropes of smash bros. I am not a pro but I can hold my own. I dabble in the finer points of the game and am aware of advanced techs though I don't habitually use them like L-canceling. (I find it to be too much hassle)

I will add you when the time comes, along with plenty of you other guys! I have 1 person on my friends list so far LOL

Geoff will probably comment about the dozens of characters in Smash that he doesn't recognize and why they're there.
