Totally random, I think it would be pretty cool to have the Clone Cherry from 3D World as an item. It stand a few steps from you and mimics your every move but except it would face the other way. It could absorb a bit of damage before it disappears into a puff of smoke or runs out.

I don't recall her ever complaining, and all of the characters talk constantly. It's kind of the theme of the game...

I mean, I somewhat like her character, but I prefer Hades, Viridi, Dark Pit, Pit, Magnus, the forge god, lightning chariot master, thanatos, Pandora, PYRONN, etc. more
It's just a testament to how great of a cast Uprising has, when a character who in other games would be one of my favorites isn't
Only Medusa on the 1+ chapters list is worse imo
It's a bit dissonant for me in that all the other factions have their own units running around doing stuff, but Palutena just sends Pit because... reasons. But no, she's got a faction she commands but instead of doing anything she just sits and moans in her temple about how all these awful things are befalling the human world and how it's her duty as a god to take care of everything but nope! Just Pit.
MEANWHILE, she's teasing and berating Pit every step of the way, offering vague support with various powers and items but ultimately not doing anything, and Pit still has unwavering devotion to her because... reasons.
Every supporting character is way, way more interesting in their actions and dialogue, backing up their lieutenants (who as far as I can tell, are supposed to be equivalently ranked with Pit?) far better... Palutena's just there.
Well, except for maybe Medusa. She might be worse.

Game's banter was terrific. Honestly I didn't know that Nintendo could do dialogue heavy cast so wonderfully. Pretty much a triumph that they are the Nintendo folk known for not being silent and for actually being entertaining to listen to during flight unlike Star Fox and Slippy banter.
She makes it quite clear at several points that her own army is incompetent next to Pit. Pit is her star soldier, and as the Goddess of Light she has sworn to protect humanity. So when the other factions threaten mankind, she sends Pit to stop them.
As for her teasing and berating Pit, it never comes off as anything malign. She's very much an older sister figure to him... She likes to toy with him, sometimes at inopportune moments. But she -is- a goddess, and their ways can be peculiar, to say the least.
Man, I adore Palutena. So happy to have her in Smash!

I know none of it's malicious, it's just really jarring to see the rest of the universe having its shit together and we're playing the bumbling duo... and somehow winning (which is admittedly amusing).
I love the game, I just think Pit and Palutena are the worst characters in it.
Not sure how to answer this question. The story in Uprising is HUGE. You could break it into three separate titles, making it a trilogy. There are at least five different factions, as well. (Spoilers -- only read if you beat the game: The factions are
Angel Land, the Underworld, the Forces of Nature, the Aurum, and the Chaos Vortex
I love all of the characters. *shrugs*

I love both characters either way thoughYeah there's basically about 5 story arcs in the entire game. I like the game and all but sometimes it felt like it was jumping here and there when it came to what villain was top priority.

I never said he wasn't different. I'm saying he shares things with Fox, that's completely uninspired.
His attacks are all completely different, which is great, but once it hits the special moves.. They're a copy of Fox's that work differently.
I'd say his standard b move can stay, but they should really change up the rest.

KI:U major character tier lists! We haven't had one of those since the KI:U thread. Definitely Hades > Palutena > Phyrron > Viridi > Pit.
The lad is just crazy good!

That's the point, though. It's like a gunshot followed by a grenade followed by a rocket launcher followed by a tank, then a <deep breath> bomb into a missile into a nuclear silo into a supernova. The game just keeps blowing your mind with the arc shifts, and it's all masterfully done.
It's easily the best 3DS game out.

Well, maybe Magnus, and Hades' had a decent plan... but it was to CREATE chaos, which, combined with his behavior, doesn't count. And I'm definitely not counting the Aurum, because they have the mentality of a locust swarm.

They played her too straight instead of at least putting together some semblance of a strong personality besides "lol I am the great evil" before completely axing her early in the game's plot. She's one of the OG three to me and should be respected for being as much. *pouts*

I don't think I could even pick my favorite Uprising character. I do wish Magnus and Medusa were expanded upon, but that's about it.

Hades's goal was to create havoc and chaos and he's got that in the bag.
Pyrrhon knew exactly what he was doing and executed everything perfectly, he just underestimated the power of the hive mentality.
Viridi knew perfectly well what she was doing and although she gets pulled into the fray by Hades's machinations puts up a fair fight she but stretched herself too thin in fighting multiple fronts.
The Aurum were mindless, but they did what they did well.
Magnus managed to handle everything well.
All that really leaves is Palutena trying to solve anything and everything with her swiss army Pit, and she gets her soul sucked out by a transdimensional bug.

My only iffy newcomer is Palutena not because I don't like her as a character but because I really don't have much of an idea about how she'll play as her trailer decided to focus more on her customized special moves then showing her standard move set. Once Sakurai confirms her default moveset or we get some footage of her being played with no customization on I'll enjoy her more.

I hadn't played the game in a while, just listened to it and yeh it is awesome. But pretty much the entire soundtrack is awesome so it's not that big of a surprise.
