Pic of the day. The pink sweatshirt looks really cool on Little Mac, so you can use that outfit in this game… How can a pink sweatshirt look so cool?

Looks like some of you noticed that this version of Little Mac wasn't shown at E3. There are many things, like Link's Skyward Sword tunic design I posted earlier, that haven't been revealed yet.

Fantastic Update! I'm very glad that we are getting Pink Sweatsuit as alt so I think it is going to be one of my alt that I'm going to use a lot.

We know 6 of Mac's costumes/colors now actually.

Yeah, I have been suspecting that we are getting 8 this time.

So I'm psyched to see him in the game and all, as a stage hazard...although like Dedede he looks a bit slimmer than usual. But I guess this means he almost certainly won't be playable. The only instance of a stage hazard that's also a playable character that I can think of is Toon Link....

As far as we know, Conductor Link isn't a hazard, just a background element.

Not that we can really say for certain since it seems neither he or Alfonzo were enabled in the E3 build.

We already have unlockable characters, trophies, and customization moves.

Seriously. It would have looked a ton better with what they were going for there.

And I just checked... apparently Link's hat doesn't even have a hurt box in Melee. Not sure if Brawl/4 change that or not.

1. Different lighting. Just look behind him. They're both in the same location and yet the brightness in not the same.

2. It's not just his hat that is different. He has gloves, short sleeves, a chest strap and under armour. Honestly, he would probably look odd if they removed his hat. He's not wearing his Skyloft outfit, he is wearing his tunic (which includes his hat) in the colours of his Skyloft outfit.

The hat's not everything, but I think it would at least convey that it's his early game outfit. The crux of the pre-tunic clothes in WW, TP, and SS is making the player say "Where's Link's funny little hat? Am I playing the right game?"

Are there any other characters with alternate models used in animations that could become costumes? Ganondorf holding a sword as an alt costume with a totally unchanged moveset would be pretty great.

I would buy a Mega Man Amiibo in a heartbeat if one of the customizable moves was Protoman's shield (which would back-reflect). Also hoping for glasses and a scarf alt costume.

Poor Palutena. Since her reveal she's only appeared in one Pic of the Day, and that was just a shot of her in the Home Run Contest. Both the Mii Fighters and Pac-Man have appeared a couple times since then and have had at least one that detailed something about their gameplay. Palutena's had none of that. We know she's got different special moves for customization... and that's it.

Logical conclusion =/= fact, if there were proof, people wouldn't need to jump to any conclusions at all

It takes a lot of time and effort to create a character, and if the leak information turns out to be true, we are already looking at 3 Fire Emblem representatives, with Chrom already being from the game Lucina is in, making the possibility of her being an actual playable character in the game slim. On top of that, the fact that she literally comes on to the scene pretending to be Marth and dressing like Marth, it puts her in a unique position of being a very likely and interesting alt costume candidate. Now that true alt costumes are confirmed, it would take very minimal effort to change Marth into Lucina, probably less so than creating Mac's hoodie, and it would be a complete fan favorite alt, in short, a lot of bang for their buck. Sure they can make a random other Marth costume, but if we are going on the assumption that Marth definitely has an alt costume, there isn't much of an argument as to why some other random costume would be more likely than Lucina

He holds it in the hand he doesn't attack with. Like, he's not wielding it for combat, he's just kinda lugging it around with him as he punches people.

Would be amazing if we could get a decent Fox. His new design is a big step down, at least imo.

If we do get a bunch of alt costumes, I think Samus could get some cool stuff the from it. She could get the Prime Varia suit, Light Suit, Fusion suit, and then stuff like Phason, Gravity, Corruption outfits that are fine as recolors.

You are just playing a semantics game. In the end it is still two different people using the same moveset. A different person alt costume. Between the Wii Fit Trainer/Villager situation along with confirmed alt costumes, the precedent is there. It isn't some great leap of logic or insane idea to suggest that there would be a Lucina alt for Marth.

Yep. None of those AC outfits are the same exact Villager. There isn't one particular Villager they wanted to single out.

Why are you operating under the assumption that she will be in the game at all? Considering that that there are plenty of fan favorites that haven't and wont make it anywhere near the roster?
