Also the end credits for fever, featuring marshall.

aw holy shit i just realized

rhythm heaven newcomer = ko takeuchi art featuring smash bros characters
yessssssssssss

edit: also ds>wii>gba because wii and gba are too easy and touchscreens are perfect for rhythm games

...I don't really understand what this means. Haha, sorry! What do you mean buff mechanic?

For several Pokemon (Victini and Xerneas) and at least one stage (Find Mii) there's a mechanic where they apply a buff to your character to, presumably, make them stronger or give them other benefits.

If WarioWare's coming back, they could apply those to a character instead of something silly like a Starman on one guy and a Super Mushroom on another.

I would say that too, but they're all pretty close. GBA probably has some of the catchiest tunes of all though (Bon Odori), and Wii's definitely got some highlights. I like the dirtier pixily look of those kinda of games though, so I prefer DS visually the most.

Plus the menu music is so good! I hope we get that for the Chorus Men trailer.

I bought Minna no Rhythm Tengoku back in April for a very very low price. Tap Star music best be in the game if Chorus Men somehow make it in.

Ah, I see. Yeah, that would work well. Despite it looking like an annoying stage, Golden Plains' no flinch mechanic is really cool. Would work well in a Warioware type stage.

Oh yes that would be amazing.
Now I'm imagining Link and DK in Warioware or Rhythm Heaven artstyle lol
Wii > GBA (the negative being that it's only in Japanese) > DS
That's how I'd rank it as well.

Well it is very platformy which would make it ideal and it has a clear area to fall down (in fact a rare stage where you can lose in the middle of the game by falling) and has the benefit of being referenced in other titles like Beat the Beat and the 3DS music player.

I think Night Walk is probably the most obvious stage choice. It's high up and made of platforms, it's pretty iconic, and it's workable as either a moving stage (where you follow along with the Night Walker) or a static one (where you fight on a few staggered platforms that occasionally have the Night Walker/Marshall/whoever hop by).

Hopefully we can get more than one, though; there's so many different locations in Rhythm Heaven that would make for cool stages. Ideally I'd like one gimmicky one (where you have to do X or Y to the beat) and one more straightforward...

Oh yeah, I mean, I love all 3 of the games. They all have great stuff to them, and they all have their flaws. GBA does have tons of catchy songs, but getting all perfect hardly poses a challenge. DS has a really good difficulty and touch controls (a plus in my eyes though I know many disagree, heh), but suffers from some occasionally shoddy dubbing and Moai Doo-Wop. And Wii has great vocal tracks with a much better dub and really clean art (I kinda prefer the really smooth, thick line direction it's taken myself), but... um... to be honest, Wii doesn't really have any immediate major issues, I just don't think it's quite as good as DS.

I'm kind of tempted to buy a Japanese version of the DS one just for the Japanese soundtrack. So nice Beat the Beat include both languages (shame about the massive delay).

Well I'll just make do with listening to it.

Rhythm heaven also had 'medley' songs as checkpoints, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a transforming stage featuring a 'best of' from the series.

The DS controls were fine, if you ask me. It's the minigames has which I felt are the weakest in the series. It's still a great game anyway.
I don't think it's as good as EBA/Ouendan when it comes to touch screen controls though.
Karate Man for Smash or as Lil Mac alt. sans kicking.
This doesn't make any sense.

I bought both Rhythm Heaven Fever and Beat The Beat: Rhythm Paradise at full price since I had both an NTSC and PAL Wii
and I also wanted to experience the game in Japanese because I liked it that much

Bought EBA and Ouendan used tho ;-;

I bought sin and punishment 2 on clearance at target for under 20, then returned it to wal-mart for 50 dollars store credit.

That's if Chorus is starter character but I'm not sure if newcomer as secret character would get the poster.

Yeah, not getting art to go along with it would bum me out.
... though honestly, I'd still just be so happy that they're in the game at all that it wouldn't matter that much.

(also tbh i'm totally cool with rad games like RH, EBA and S&P2 going for bomba prices because it makes them easier impulse buys for some people who might not get them otherwise. I got my money's worth buying them at full price, at least!)
