Also, I can't really tell, but are the Kremlings redesigned in this?
At first I thought you were using a reaction GIF.So I just saw a post on smashboards in the K. Rool thread.

Apparently the attack that Kremlings use in Smash Run is based on that DK64 cutscene.
Seems like grasping at some very thin ice if you ask me, but the animation is really similar.
Obviously, this means that K. Roolis in because... reasons

I don't think crocodiles attacking by biting is really sourced from anywhere in particular.
Also, I donno if this has been mentioned before, but I think Mii Fighters will be the new Fighting Wire Frames/Polygons Team. In the E3 trailer, it's hardish to tell, but it seems like not only are they fighting multiples of them, but it also seems like the ones being fought are multiple kinds of Mii Fighters.

What's up with this bomb? This looks like the stadium for the Home-run Contest, but there's no bat. Once you touch the bomb, it begins to count down. Give it enough damage and launch it at the right time then once the bomb's countdown hits zero !!

...It goes BOOOOOM! Not only will the blast destroy targets, but it'll also cause a chain reaction by using shattered walls and bomb blocks--all of which contributes to you getting a high score!! This is a new activity that combines the concepts of Target Smash and the Home-run Contest--it's called Target Blast! Your final score is the total you rack up over two rounds. Of course, your Target Blast scores contribute to your Global Smash Power, too.

It's not so much just the fact that they're biting, it's the whole arm animation and everything, it looks exactly the same.

I think if they just wanted to simply make the kritters attack by biting, they wouldn't have done such a wacky pose with the arms.
I just figure it's a pretty typical "leans back and throws head forward" animation, because it's difficult to add impact to a bite animation otherwise. I mean, it's possible that it's a reference to it, I just don't really expect many references to DK64 based on past precedent, especially such a minor part of it.
Though... I guess past Smash games haven't been as unwilling to reference DK64 as I thought? A lot of Diddy's moveset is based around it (before it got integrated into the Returns games). I dunno!
I'm really surprised we haven't had more leaks yet. There is such a huge development team. Sal Romano's contact was great, but he doesn't even have the whole picture. I want that whole picture. We got Brawl's roster months before release.

It sounds crazy, but Sakurai comes up with everything by himself before development even begins.Sakurai and team are pretty amazing. It's like they do this on purpose.
In my mind, it goes like this: They come up w/ an idea for a smash run enemy, then they discuss how to animate it. One employee goes home and plays DKC1/2/3, one employee goes home and plays DK64. They both come back w/ ideas about how they should attack. DK1/2/3 says 'they just walk around, so maybe we could do... *shows very basic attack animation*." the DK64 employee says "yeah, they don't do much in DK64 either, but in this one part, he does this:"

Whole team starts laughing. "Yeah, we have to do that now"

Do you (or anyone) have a link to where ever the leak was first posted/talked about? No, because it was obviously fake and full of characters that had no chanceDid people even believe the Brawl leak at the time?

There's also ...this attack which doesn't reference anything.
Also, if Bowser hasn't been shrunk here, there's no way K. Rool can be playable in the game, he'd have to be massive to not be smaller than his mooks.
(New) mode!
This is why I used "(new)"It was in the E3 trailer, but not explained.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the coming weeks we get more of that trailer explained (like the part w/ branching paths - if that mode has a new name, or if it's just 'adventure' mode)

I wasn't there for it, but the pre-Brawl leak climate was different than ours now. There weren't regular major disconfirmations and most leaks stayed live until pictures started coming. As such, Brawl's roster just sat on the list of other text-only rosters until that was the one confirmed. But lots of people did dismiss it because of ROB.
Tbh, I didn't think ROB would be that far out, since he had just appeared in MKDS.
Some of the leaked characters were weird though and since there are lots of random leaks it's hard to focus on one that might be legit.
I don't get how Kremlings confirm K. Rool.

Nyasenaya-Leaked twice. First leak: http://smashboards.com/threads/brawl-playtest-massive-spoilers.126260/#post-3295086 (Note that the OP was deleted by a mod, but you can get the gist of what happened from the replies).
Maybe not confirm but I think it's a good sign. Why wouldn't they just include enemies from the new DKC games? Why reach that far back if there's no K. Rool at all?
It's just DK fans being happy over the fact that the apparently forgotten main antagonist of the DKC series that quite a few people grew up with is being referenced in game for once (trophies are boring and static so nobody really cares about them).
I don't get how Kremlings confirm K. Rool.
Ugh...the Cellda rumor strikes again...and no Mega Man? I simply just don't believe this. It's bull in my book.
wrongMega Man is not in the game.
If this person absolutely knows there are only 35 characters, why not reveal the rest? If he is so sure Mega Man is not in, then surely he must know who is in if he knows the exact number of characters.
So I just saw a post on smashboards in the K. Rool thread.

Sorry, my attention was grabbed.Alright, some Brawl leaks, for reference.
ChaosZero-October 31st, 2007: http://i.imgur.com/1avyxRy.jpg
Things leaked:
Most of the roster.
Dragoon Parts.
Final Destination being back.
Nyasenaya-Leaked a few times. Probably easier to just view all her Smashboards posts, but if you don't feel like that, the majority can be found in these links: First leak: http://smashboards.com/threads/brawl-playtest-massive-spoilers.126260/#post-3295086 (Note that the OP was deleted by a mod, but you can get the gist of what happened from the replies). Second leak: http://smashboards.com/threads/brawl-will-be-delayed-in-the-us-again.129404/ One thing worth noting is she claimed Peach was much more risque in early Brawl designs, which explains why the final Brawl Peach is the ugliest model of Peach ever made.
Those Miiverse pics on the last page was some of the best stuff I've seen ever regarding Smash Bros. MC Hammer Kirby, Lady Falcon, Rosalina & Ice Climbers at the movies, Super Smash Summer Scramble, LETS DAANZ, Mario the contracted clean up crew for the Inklings (this really needs to be a thing like how Mario's the ref in the OG Punch-Out), "Bair and Nair" and Captain Jigglypuff are too good.
Because they're memorable Donkey Kong enemies in a mode that contains over 70 enemies so far. The model looks to be recycled from Mario Super Sluggers, so there's not a ton of work involved in bringing it over. Kritter doesn't hint at K. Rool any more than the Kid Icarus enemies hint at Medusa/Hades.Maybe not confirm but I think it's a good sign. Why wouldn't they just include enemies from the new DKC games? Why reach that far back if there's no K. Rool at all?
