The composer for Metal Gear Solid 4 is listed as a guest composer, but if you claim that proves Snake is in then you'd also have to agree Haruka Amami is a safe bet what with seven iDOLM@STER mentions on the same page.

Basically, it means nothing. It's the same as with Brawl's guest composers.
 
Of all the supposed leaks, Duck Hunt is the most exciting. I feel shulk would be lost amongst the generic fire emblem roster for non-fans.

I'm sure there's still a couple surprises though. Wario for sure.

I won't be the only gaffer getting it day 1. I don't have a capture device. I'm certainly not streaming while doing shoulder-cam, but I appreciate the vote of confidence!

I will take pictures, ideally directly via miiverse or the screenshot feature, and answer any questions anyone has.

I assume once it comes out i'll be playing it more than checking gaf, so maybe PM me your questions?

I added over 50 people and you'd be surprised how many people ARENT on when I play :p 2-3 online TOPS.
 
When the update took so long it was clear it had to be something "substantial". The music update was quite nice though people may be reading a bit too much into the composer list/credits. Would have appreciated some headway on the leak though :(

To be fair, before I ever saw an actual Smash Bros tournament, FD only was what me and all my friends thought "serious business" Smash was all about. To the layman who wants to get serious but has no interest or isn't aware of the actual competitive scene, I don't think its an unreasonable viewpoint to have and as such I think the "For Glory" mode makes sense. The rest of the shit RomanceDawn was talking about is nonsense though; those dude are assholes straight up.

I'm not expecting a Wario reveal until we get the Rhythm Heaven trailer, so I would hope that the next veteran reveal is Ice Climbers.
 
So much has gone on this past week that I disappeared from this thread. That smash bros leak was ridiculous, I hope the duck hunt dog makes it in... So does Game and Watch... Why do I enjoy playing the most awkward of character?!?!?!

If the Ice Climbers and others end up really being part of DLC, how do you think they'll announce that? Would they mention "Hey, there's DLC coming this holiday season" when the 3DS version releases, or would they keep it secret for a while?...

No particular questions, just wanted to see someone playing to see who combos go, the stages, how fluid is the game etc

I'd have to go with the Pokémon X/Y Trainer Battle theme as my favorite of today's bunch. We've heard the entire thing in the Greninja trailer and its conclusion is just fucking incredible.

It's very possible that some of the other absent folks--most likely Koji Kondo and Jun Senoue--are being reserved for the Wii U version. Can't wait to hear more info on that game's OST!

Speaking of unlockable characters, when was the last time we got a POTD with Luigi on it? Sakurai admitted that he's always an unlockable but made his presence known because it was the Year of Luigi.

He's basically all-but-confirmed, but he's not 100% officially confirmed. I do not doubt for 1 second he's in the game, but he's not officially confirmed/revealed yet.

He has the same exact status as dark pit, as far as I'm concerned. Nobody thinks dark pit is 100% confirmed, but he was in the palutena trailer.

It'll go down one of these ways if it's true...

- The DLC characters are included w/ Wii U version from the start, & will be added to the 3DS version via a free update when the Wii U version comes out
- The DLC characters are time-locked, & will be automatically unlocked when the Wii U version comes out
- The Wii U version comes with a code to get the DLC characters free for the 3DS version, which would cost money for 3DS owners otherwise
- The DLC characters aren't in either game from the start, & come later as free DLC
- The DLC characters aren't in either game from the start, & come later as paid DLC

Or my favorite option:

DLC characters are released day and date of their newcomer trailer. Any veterans also revealed in that trailer are part of the same bundle.

Free or not, doesn't matter. This allows more newcomer trailers between October and Wii U release.
