You know what update would make the leak much more credible, despite not being a character/stage update? One about the CSS, where it's said it can be customised in several ways, including removing characters' names from their selection screen icon.

Those ears look weird. Plus if the leaker did record it from a video, he shouldn't have access to the clean render. I'm not buying it for a second.

Anyway, this is a classic non-explanation, all about friends-of-friends. And if his friend was given "over 20 photos and 9 videos," then why do we only have 8 photos and 0 videos? Why leak only the least compelling stuff? Again, that doesn't make sense, and I'd love to hear an actual explanation.

Having an insider spoil the roster is one thing, but this is a pretty huge leak if it is true since this is the American version which is still a month away. Nintendo can't be happy right now... although nothing will ever beat the UMvC3 roster being leaked the day it was announced.

There's a distinct problem there, though - the overlap is going over the bottom screen image. As in, if this were real it would mean that the bottom screen would have a sliver of the random select over it, which would look terrible and make little sense.
I think this little slipup is probably the biggest indicator of the leak being fake, alongside ESRB0083.
Clearly this guy is a friend of a friend of the leaker's father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate

Looks like a person making a quick drawing to try and "prove" the leak is fake. Those renders look so much worse than the grainy, blurry screenshot we had. A shoddy paint-over to try and prove a point.

Also, Dark Pit has been basically "confirmed" for a while. Palutena video +Lucina's clone status+lack of Dark Pit color on demo+Sakurai making Dark Pit a separate character in KI:U.
At least that's what I believe.

Arguably, the ears look weird even in the perspective they're viewed from on the original leak image. The ears look like they're in total antigravity mode. I assumed that dog perked his ears up when he finds a duck.
