I just realized Shulk's palette swaps are based on Xenoblade's party members.
Starting from the third one to the left: Dunban -> Reyn -> Sharla -> Melia -> Riki

Not enough Orange in these alts, there is however a nice influx of Purple so at least that's something.

Seems to be the case. If you look at the page numbers in the corners of the scans, you skip 2 pages between Link and Sheik.
Or Knuckles, or Tails, or Silver.
Would've been SO easy to at least recolor him! But no. He's blue. And only blue.

It's a purple-tinted grey, not black. Black is what the sprite's outlines are.

Yeah, Zelda's page is definitely missing. It jumps from 34-35 for Link to 38-39 for Shiek. 36-37 should be Zelda.

Nah, it's black. In Gen 2 it's purple despite being black in official artwork, and in gen 3 there's a lighter, green tint to it. But in Gens 4-6, it's been black.
