Well, my vote is for Bernie, not Hilary...and I expect Bernie to drop out before then, regardless of his statements saying he'll stay in the race even if he doesn't do well today. If he's in, I'll vote for him in the primary. If not, then I have no reason to vote in the primary.

He's still going to be on the ballot and he is definitely staying in till March 15th. You in OH, Fl, NC or IL?

What about you?

I vote Saturday in LA.

Did that voting thing that everyone was talking about this morning.

Arlington, TX. Was there at opening. Voted on the machine with the dial. Local Church.

Repubs - like 20 - 30, main hall.
Dems - 10 or less, maybe half that. Side room. When they announced who was voting where, me and 2-4 people got out of the 20 - 30 person Repub line line to go into the side room. therearedozensofus.gif

Young people stats - Me, some tall guy 25-35 (Repub), and a 10 year old girl (Her mom or dad was in the Repub line).

Yay. Stickers are cool.

Us Texas democrats should be happy that there aren't many of us due to typical low Texas turnout. It means we have a hugely disproportionate effect on the race due to the huge amount of delegates at stake. You and I are worth like 10 Vermont voters and like 1000 California voters since the race is over by the time it gets to them lmao

Yeah they're free to use it however they please but if there comes a point in the future where it's fundamentally impossible for Bernie to win the primary, he's just siphoning money and support that could be going elsewhere.

Money and support could always be going elsewhere; that applies to any candidate. The question is SHOULD it go elsewhere. From your perspective, it's a matter of strategy, from Bernie's perspective, it's a matter of principle.

So gaf prediction time.

So Vermont will go sanders and south will go Hillary.

The important States to watch are:

MA. Sanders needs a win here or likely done.
MN and CO. Sanders needs to do well. A win here could mean he is the favorite going to big states that favor him more 3/15. A loss on both here means he is done.

Predict MA, CO, MN.
Polling shows him losing Mass, so I think he's already done sad to say. Best case scenario IMO is he wins Vermont, Minnesota, Colorado and Oklahoma. Worst case scenario he only wins Vermont.

Just voted in Massachusetts. Went with Hillary.

My mom asked who I voted for, so I told her and she said that she's very disappointed in me. lol

Oh, politics.

It's a waste of funds and time.

If it's clear there's no path to victory. Get behind Clinton and let's get to work on shutting down the GOP in November

It's not a waste of time and money if it results in states more accurately reflecting the votes of their constituency.

Honestly, at this point, I don't care who people vote for (I welcome anyone in late-voting states still wanting to have their voices heard) - but in terms of actual monetary contributions there ain't much of an argument against sending that downballot instead of being yet another $20 used to pad a late state's margin from -25 to -23.

I'll have to drive by the republican voting place today, just to see what is going down. The parking lot at the place is extremely small, so I think there is going to be a lot of issues there.

Tell that to the people actually giving their money.

So..who's voting W. Wilson?

How about this dude instead

I'm thinking Hillary sweeps every state besides VT (with CO/MN/MA being close) and Trump sweeps everything besides TX.

If true, Sanders might not have a path going forward. Super Tuesday sweep seems to be the GAF sentiment. Bernie did do worse in SC than I expected, so it is possible.
Will be interesting to watch.

It doesn't matter if those votes would have literally no impact if Hillary won enough states at that point. I see someone continuing their campaign after they're 100% going to lose as impractical and irresponsible.

Whatever we both fundamentally disagree on this and I doubt either of us are going to change each other's minds.

Voted in GA this morning. Took some deliberation but put my vote in for Bernie. I'll support Hillary in the general when it comes down to it, but I want Bernie to stay in the fight as long as he possibly can.

Definitely.

Oh, politics.

Same here, but the mother and father will be voting the same later.

Love the Bern man, but I'm starting to question if some of his hardline supporters are even progressive Democrats, or fuck everything Green-Rainbow socialists.

Time to shut it down and coalese behind the nominee. There's work to be done instead of arguing with Brick walls that don't show up for down ticket races anyways.

I'm not sure I follow your line of reasoning. Once a party chooses their candidate any further presidential primary competition seems like wasted energy that could be focused on the general election.

My hope is that opposition would drop out and cast their lot with the presumed candidate, not continue a lost fight that drags the eventual candidate down in public opinion.

I view the "constituency" in this case as the parties, not the states.

After 4 fucking primaries?

I didn't realise someone leading 91-65 in pledged delegates after just 10% of the primaries was game over. Bernie needs to refund that $42 mill he just banked from people who are still supporting him!
