Decision desk has his lead down to a bit under 6000 now.

EDIT: shit now it's just above 4000. Is this happening!?

Secret nose pickers.

I'm still seeing a 10,000 vote margin. Where are you looking?

It really is a deplorable situation. I agree, as much as I think Trump is a complete fucking tool, I somehow dislike Cruz even more.

One guy pretends to believe in the crazy shit and the other guy actually does. I know - oversimplified, but this probably explains your plight.

It helps that he's a naturally slimy speaker. Like, if you were to cast him in a movie, he'd be a corrupt greasy used car salesman.

Not to mention he also has the proven record of being a complete obstructionist dick in Congress to the point where no Senator in his own party will endorse him.

I want to see Cruz as The Penguin in the next Batman movie.

They need to do better jobs of updating these ballots or at least not printing them so early. There are a lot of votes going to people that dropped out a long time ago. Votes that could have gone to other people.

If you make the ballot, I believe it is required by law that you're on the ballot even if you suspend. So, as long as the people got the requisite signatures they'll stay. It's usually not enough to sway anything. A few hundred votes divided up is no big thang.

Dream with your eyes open. That way you can still see numbers.

If you're looking at the numbers, you're awake, not dreaming.

Anyway, I don't see the problem. If someone wants to use delusion as their motivation, realists are free to ignore them. Trying to actively discourage them from being blindly hopeful just seems like you're pissing in their kool-aid.

I see, so Cruz can just materialize tonsil stones to sustain himself on during debates

no wonder he was livelier than the rest

Killing me.

Now I picture him as a bridge troll who uses his magical powers exclusively on teleporting boogers and tonsil stones into his mouth for nourishment.

And I prefer that image to the real thing.

Well this is a world where Ted Cruz lies that Ben Carson dropped out to try and steal votes so I'm kinda glad the ballots are printed early actually.

How big is Florida at this point? I feel the drama building but if Trump can pick that state up I feel like he would be firmly back in control. Like someone mentioned earlier, if Rubio decides to stick around until after Florida, I'd imagine Cruz will have a hard time wrestling this state from Trump.

Florida is huge because it' winner take all for the Republicans.

It SEEMS like the bad debate + Mitt Romney speech did have an effect. Can't really determine how big an effect yet or whether or not it will sustain for the rest of the race.

The Establishment boxing Trump out came too little too late I feel.

I dunno, still a pretty decisive win in Louisiana, and a strong result considering it was a caucus in Kentucky.

Rubio has to call it quits now.

Well, Rubio...
